Chapter 1: Running

The surrounding was nothing but darkness. There was no light, no matter how hard she looked, and it was slowly engulfing her fragile body.

The sound ringing in her ears was nothing but her heavy breathing. She panted, air escaping her mouth, sweats covering her forehead. She could hear her footsteps echoing in the darkness with no end.

She couldn't believe she was still running. Because she was clearly exhausted. How long had she been running? Why hadn't her legs given up yet? Those yellow creatures… Were they still behind her? She didn't know the answer to the last question, but she didn't want to know. She couldn't bring herself to look back. She just couldn't. Something in her mind told her that she shouldn't, that if she looked back, she would slow herself down. And she couldn't let that happen to her. Because if that happened, they would catch her, hurt her, torture her, tear her body apart, break her mind… Just thinking about it made her want to cry. But she had no time to think about it. She had to keep going, even if it was for nothing in the end.

And so she kept running, kept trying, even though in front of her was nothing but darkness.

Then, she fell. Her knees collapsed, and her whole body followed. She fell to the harsh, cold ground, scarping her knees. She tried getting up, but couldn't. Her body was too weak, too exhausted to do so. She tried even harder, but find no purpose in it. Every move of hers hurt her body, especially her knees.

Eventually, she gave up. She no longer found any benefit in trying, because she was too tired, both physically and mentally. Everyone has their limit, not excluding her. Her body couldn't keep up any more, and she could hear their faint footsteps from afar. This was it. They were close, and they kept coming closer… closer… But she didn't care. This was it. They could have her all to themselves, do anything to their heart's desire...

Just as the last glimpse of her hope was about to fade away, something shone brightly in front of her. Her eyes fluttered and she lifted her head up to see what it was. A light. A bright white light, shining right before her eyes. Was her eyes tricking her? There was no way a light could make it way into this deep darkness. She rubbed her eyes and looked once more. There it still was, shining and signaling her to come.

That last glimpse of hope shone once more, bringing energy to her body. She wiped her tears and smiled. There was hope. There was still hope for her. No matter where that light led, she sure she could do it. She could escape this place and get to safety. She was sure of it.

As if she was reborn, she pushed herself up with a swift movement. Upon finding a new determination, she made a run for the light. She was faster than before and soon reached her destiny. She rushed into the light, leaving the creatures behind. As she went through, she found her body getting warmer, into a very pleasant feeling…

She finally opened her eyes and got herself ready for what was about to come.

When her vision became fully clear, all her hope went to waste.

It wasn't what she was waiting for.

A dungeon… She was in a very dark dungeon… This dungeon was dark just like that place, but it was even colder and even scarier before with all those blood stain, bloody knives and scissors. It sent a chill down her spine.

She tried moving, but yelped loudly at the pain. It hurt… It hurt so much… That was when she realized her wrists and ankles were tied up, and the ropes were making those places bleed. On her body was nothing but a wet white shirt stained with sweats and blood. She yelled even more, louder and louder each time but then gave up. Her mouth was shut with a piece of tape, so what was the point of calling for help?

Suddenly, she heard the metal doors open loudly. She looked up and she yelled loudly once again. In front of her was that same yellow creature, but it had a golden crown and red cape on its shoulder. This one was different than the others… Its face held the exact same expression, but it felt very dangerous and scary. She wish she could move freely without hurting, so that she could escape this place as quick as possible.

"Mogege~ Good morning, my dear Yonaka~ Did you sleep well?"

She cried and shook her head. She didn't know what was happening, even the long and wiggling thing in its hand. And she didn't want to know either.

"You did? Good. Because we have a long day to go through. Mogege~" It said in a cheery voice. " Oh man, I'm so bored I can play with you all day…"

It walked closer and held her chin. She jumped at the skin contact, but she couldn't move her face away. It looked straight into her eyes.

"Why are you resisting? Did you forget you're my slave now? Huh, my toy?"

Tears started rolling down her cheeks.

"Oh Yonaka-tan, you're always so cute, even when you're scared. That makes me want to mess you up and tear you apart~"

It began inching that long thing near the area between her legs… She screamed loudly, her voice echoing through the whole dungeon.

What was happening?

This was what she came for?

So she did this to herself?

She tried her best and this was what she got in the end…?

No, she didn't want to believe it.

She just want to end it…

End all the pain…

She screamed again.

"Yonaka-tan? Honey? Are you alright?"

Yonaka snapped her eyes opened to the sound of the voice beside her. She was breathing heavily, sweats covering her entire body. She put a hand over her forehead and sighed as she looked at the ceiling. She was still in her room. It was just a dream, a bad dream.

And lying beside her was King mogeko, her dear lover.
