Lilac, Carol, and Milla are sitting around a campfire in Dragon Valley. Carol is getting a tad bored, and asks Lilac if she knows any good stories. Lilac asks,
" Well, do you guys know about the legend of the hedgehog who could break the sound barrier?" and Carol replies,
" No? I don't think so, tell it." and Milla adds,
" Sure! Sounds interesting!" Lilac sets down her marshmellow and prepares to speak.
" Ok. Legend says that there exists a planet much similar to this one, with a few minor differences in landscape. It is called Mobius, it had a civilization similar to ours. With animals and sub animals that we are today. Except this planet was also populated by a different species, ones that were long and slender in shape, coming in sand and dark brown colors, known as humans. In this world the two very different species got along fairly well. No one quarreled, the government accepted the animals. Until one day, when a man by the name of Ovi Kintobor decided to perform an experiment on a small little hedgehog, he wanted to see what would happen if he infused this hedgehog with the powers of a Chaos Emerald. Chaos Emeralds are seven mysterious gems that is said to contain major power. He injected the hedgehog with it, causing an explosion that affected both the scientist and the hedgehog. The man was turned, changed into a much more evil and tyrannical man, calling himself Ivo Robotnik. The hedgehog however, he was turned good. His fur changed to bright blue, his eyes going from solid black to green. He now had the ability of super speed, using the Chaos power in him, he can reach speeds of up to mach one! Ivo gave him a set of special shoes that would never break, doing so out of the last bit of kindness he would ever have. The hedgehog, now calling himself Sonic, thanked the scientist, running off for new found adventures! But Ivo, now being a mad man, wanted to use his mechanical creations to capture all animals and use them for his deeds, even if they didn't want it. He started to capture animals and opposing humans, throwing and turning them into machines for his own goals. The world was quickly ruined, now a place of despair and terror, robots walked the streets, everyone was in constant horror, who could save them now? Just when everything seemed to be done for, it happened. It is said it first happened at a camp, where people were forced to mine for emeralds, where out of seemingly nowhere, did a flash of blue appear, smashing the robots to pieces. Sonic the Hedgehog stood in front of the prisoners, with his red and white shoes, white gloves, a smirk on his face. " Yo guys, Im Sonic the Hedgehog, and this robotic reign ends now." Those are iconic words he spoke on that day. He then proceeded to free the slaves, destroying the entire camp. Sonic continued to do this, freeing people, giving them weapons to fight back with, crushing different areas and buildings that Robotnik had control over. At last came time for the final confrontation in the mad scientist's lair, known as the Scrap Brain, the Metallic Madness. Anyone who went there died within seconds, only robots and the doctor himself could enter alive. Sonic and thousands of other freed slaves charged the massive building, ready to finally end the tyranny. It was a terrible battle, hundreds died, both human and animal, most notably a fox named Miles Prower, and a bird who used to be Sonic's rival, Jet, had died in battle. However, Sonic managed to work his way to the main control room, ready to blow up the place once and for all. He was met by Dr. Robotnik, who was situated in a huge machine, one that looked much like him, equipped with claws, bombs, missiles, and lasers. The seven Chaos Emeralds, finally collected, were powering the mech. Sonic by himself couldn't defeat the machine, it was too strong with the Emeralds powering it. But it is said that Sonic came up with a plan, he realized that the Emeralds were resonating with him, offering him an opportunity. He took it, summoning all the energy of the seven Emeralds. Sonic transformed in a burst of light, turning golden yellow, his quills sticking up, his eyes now red. Super Sonic possessed the power close to that of a god. He easily defeated the machine, charging a Super Sonic spindash, penetrating a hole right through the center of the mech, destroying it. Robotnik fled as Sonic smashed the controls, causing the whole building to implode on itself. After that Robotnik was never heard from again. Civilization slowly rebuilt itself, everyone could live happily and without the fear of death at every corner. All thanks to the heroic hedgehog who used his powers for good, not evil. Unfortunately, no one ever saw Sonic again, it was rumored he travelled to a different realm, in search of Ivo Robotnik, though no one knew why. Once civilization was forced to take to the stars, and reach and populate Avalice, they had to leave Sonic behind. It's sad the hero went missing, but his deed will never be forgotten. That is the legend." Lilac sits down and drinks some water, her throat sore from talking for so long. Carol and Milla stare at her in amazement.
" Holy shoot, that's the legend? My god, I didn't know all that happened so many years ago!" Carol exclaims.
" Yeah, that is crazy! This Sonic sounds like a cool guy!" Milla adds. Lilac nods.
" Yeah, if it weren't for him, we wouldn't be here right now." Carol chews on her s'more.
" You said he went to another dimension? Does anyone have leads on where that is exactly?" Lilac faces her.
" Some scientists say it could be the Grid Realm, a place never before explored, only studied." Carol puts down her food.
" Then let's get there and find this blue hedgehog!" She says with enthusiasm. Lilac gets a spark in her eye.
" Yeah, we could do that couldn't we?"
