He grew up knowing religion but never practicing it. His parents were Christian but they never read the Bible to him or took him to Sunday church. They weren't mad when he said he was atheist but they were disappointed in themselves for not teaching him. Now he is 24 with a beautiful girlfriend of 2 years and 1 month. His girlfriend is Christian and wants him to know that light. One day his girlfriend was helping with her churches Vacation Bible School. I guess no one saw the snake that had hidden in the box over the winter. She was reaching for something across the box when the snake had bit her. She let the others know right away without scaring the younger kids. She was immediately taken to the ER and he was called. He got to the ER as fast as he could and when he got there she was stabilized but unconscious. For three days and two nights he sat by her side begging her to come back to him. The poison had gotten too far and was now trying to get her in to a coma. On that third night she had flat lined. Doctors and Nurses started pushing him away. He realized there was nothing he could do. Forgotten in the corner of the room he dropped to his knees. He was praying. He prayed and prayed so hard. It was anyone's guess for what he was praying about, but my guess was on the girl. Just before they put the paddles to her chest to start her heart, it started beating again. It could only be heard as a whisper but a "Thank You God" was said and the doctors called it a miracle. When she came to the next day she told him "I saw him, I saw Jesus. He said I had made my difference in the world but my time had not yet come. I was about to ask him what I had changed but he showed me an image of you praying… for me." From That day on he never doubted another Word of God. He can be seen today reading his Bible on a daily basis and going to church every Sunday. Oh, and that girl he prayed for, the first prayer in his life, they're now happily married with two children and one on the way. He made a promise between him and God that he would teach his kids about God and Jesus every chance he could. Who knew that something so bad as that hospital situation could be turned into something as great as a family, just by believing in Jesus Christ and God?
