Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, and the related materials, J.K. Rowling does.
This is right after the part in The Prince's Tale, were Lily stops being Sev's friend. This story is 500 words long.
Mudblood
I stood there, in that empty corridor, wishing with all my being that Lily would come back out of the portrit, the Pink Lady gave me an annoyingly pitying stare. I wished that Lily would come back out and say that she did forgive me, that she was just hurt, and that was all, we could still be friends. After several minutes and Lily still hadn't come out I started to slowly make my way back to the Slytherin common room, then I walked past the rest of the Slytherins, and then slowly walked up to my dorm and plopped down on my bed.
I told myself not to cry, but I still felt a few hot tears roll off the end of my nose. My long hair guarded my fellow Slytherin's from seeing my shameful tears. Then I pulled curtains around my bed and just sat there for a while.
'She's right, everything she said,' I thought to myself, 'You are aiming to be a Death Eater, I do call everyone of her blood Mudblood. But she's different. She is an absolutely amazing witch, beautiful, kind, helpful and more. That's more than I can say for any other muggleborn. There has to be away to make it up to her. No, not without the Slytherins knowing, something will come to me... I know something will come to me. Why did I have to say that word anyway? Why couldn't I have just kept my big mouth shut? It's all Potter's fault! He's ruined my friendship with Lily, and I'm sure he's very, very happy about it. She's probably going to date Potter now, even though he's an idoit, and not at all what everyone makes him out to be'
Later I ended up writing her a note, telling her how sorry I was, and that I thought we were going to be friends for ever, she had said so... but I never gave that note to her, never told her how I felt, never. I still have that note in an old box stashed away in a cupboard.
"Professor? Professor Snape are you alright?"
A third year Slytherin pulled me back to the real world. A world where Lily no longer exists, and the only thing left of her was that boy. Smiling at what his best friend, Weasley, had said, and those green eyes sparkled, her green eyes. It was ike some slow form of torture, and Dumbledore expects me to protect that? "Professor?"
Kids are always interrupting my thoughts, "Yes, do you need something?" I snapped at him.
"Well, class should have got out five minutes ago, sir," he said, seeming a little afraid.
"Oh, yes. Class dismissed!"
Okay, I edited this, again. The third time now, but I just had some stuff to add, and fix.
As I've said before I wrote this because (besides being a huge Snape fan) I wanted to show that Snape would be very sad about what happened to Lily and his friendship, and blame James for it, but still considering what the Slytherins thought was more important.
