Hey everyone, so this is a new story that I decided to write. The idea came to me the other night and I just had to run with it.

Summary: Chris and Stephanie are best friends… but there is something more. Can they overcome all the obstacles and finally be together?

This first chapter is more of just a setup to explain the background information and is told in Steph's POV. But the other chapters after this will go back to third person… (and they won't use this style of writing either)

Chapter 1: How It All Started

Steph's POV

I guess I should start this whole thing off by introducing myself. I'm Stephanie McMahon. Known to most as the billion dollar princess. Daughter of Vince McMahon… and girlfriend of Randy Orton.

Yes, you heard me right, I'm dating Mr. RKO himself. How exactly did that happen? Well, I'm not too sure myself.

But I'm going to let you in on a little secret. He isn't the one I want. But we will get to that one later.

If you were to see the group of people that I hang out with, you would probably be shocked. It's all because of my best friend Amy, known to the wrestling world as Lita. It all started when she introduced me to her boyfriend Jeff Hardy and his brother Matt. While I don't dress like them (I wouldn't be caught dead in fishnets) and don't have the same lifestyle as them, they took me in as of their own.

Then there is the rest of the bunch.

Adam (aka Edge) and Jay (aka Christian) are the joksters of the group. They are always playing practical jokes on other people, and they just generally joke about everything. But don't let that fool you. Deep down, they are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet.

And then there is Chris Jericho.

See, Jericho and I have a complicated relationship. He is my best friend in the entire world. And he has been for years. We are inseparable, we do everything together. And I can tell him anything, and he is always there for me. But there was always something more between us. And everyone saw it. I just wish we would of at the time.

But then everything changed.

He left for a year. Never called or anything. When he left, I was completely heartbroken. I didn't know what to do, and it seemed like nobody could help me, so I lashed out. And I ended up turning to Randy. And between you and me, I still don't know why I did that.

But now Chris is back, and that's not a bad thing. Because things are like they used to be, we are closer than ever again. As a matter of fact, you would never have guessed that anything happened in the first place. And boy, did he pick a good time to come back… when I needed him the most. Because my relationship is falling apart and Chris is the only one who can help me.

But the problem is, now all of my feelings have come back. I wish that I could just leave Randy to be with Chris, but it's just not that easy.

In fact, it's quite complicated.

See, before Jericho left I could have told him how I felt and things would have been great, and I would probably be telling you a story of how we are together and things are great.

But instead, I'm left telling you the story of how I'm still in love with him and can't do anything about it.

Why you ask?

It's simple.

Because he is married. Yes, married. To some girl he met while he was away.

And that just makes thing way too complicated.

Because now here I am, in love with my best friend who is married.

And what hurts me the most, is deep down I know he still wants me too.
