Wow, another one XD This one came to me while I was playing with my kitty. I've had horrible bouts of needing USUK in my life lately, and since I can't go and cosplay it yet and I've read all the amazing fics here, I thought of ideas. I'm also looking at finally purchasing an America wig, once Fantasy Sheep stocks it… stupid Taobao ;; Anyways. Hope you enjoy! :3 America and England belong to Himaruya~

Alfred could always tell when it was winter. For instance, the air grew colder. That was the most obvious. No, it was the fact that he came home on that brittle November 1st afternoon to a cup of tea sitting on the counter. He smiled, shaking his head slightly and continuing on towards the living room of the apartment. On the rug in the middle of the room sat the Briton, his head bent over in such a position that caused the American to question it.

"…Arthur?" A faint humming could be heard from the other side of the Englishman, and Arthur's movements seemed so timed and precise. "What are you doing?"

The blonde looked up, his brows furrowing. "It's a cat, Alfred. I found her outside on my way home, and God knows I couldn't leave her in the cold air alone." A silent meow could be heard from the Brit's lap, and a fur tail flopped about.

Alfred frowned, placing his hands on his hips. "A cat? Arthur…" He took the few steps needed before leaning beside the man, able to see the animal. "Gosh, she's really cute.," he commented, giving the feline a pat on the head, "but we can't afford to take care of a cat right now!"

"We can't ever afford anything nice, can we?" The Brit held the cat up, matching foreheads and smiling—a true smile. It was the first time Alfred had ever seen him so happy about something like this. He considered Arthur to be, well, a stick in the mud. Alfred reached his hands over, taking the cat from his partner's arms.

"We can….take care of her until we find a suitable owner. But that's it!"

Arthur closed his eyes, smirking. "Fine, fine."

The American laughed, holding the cat up higher above his own head. "I wonder what we should name her?"
