Mark lay in bed, reading a quiet book. The clock read 1:47 a.m. He felt his eyelids droop down over his eyes and he soon fell unconcious and into a dream. In this dream a black creature lurked around him, pinkish lavender eyes smoking. Blood-red streaks would flash onto it in patterns like underground tunnels or even... circutry... It grinned with metal teeth and pounced, pinning him to the white floor. It opened its mouth wide, revealing a tangle of wires in its throat. He awoke just as the jaws snapped shut over his head. He snapped up and stared over at the clock. "What...?" He muttered, putting on his glasses. He looked at the time. It was 6:58 a.m. "I might as well get up..." he said groggily, sliding his feet off the bed and onto the floor. He walked into the kitchen and pulled out a box of toaster waffles from the freezer. He plopped two in the toaster, then pulled up a stool and sat down. 6 minutes later, the toaster popped up the waffles with a quiet ding. He walked over to the table and picked up a waffle, eating it lazily. Brrrrrrt. Brrrrrt. His phone buzzed on the table he picked it up. It was Wade. He tapped the 'answer' button and held the phone to his ear. "Hi Wade..." He said with a yawn. "What's up?" "Guess what I found yesterday in an alleyway." Wade said exitedly. "What?" Mark replied. "I found a really cool game called 'Shard lands: quest for the Deviltail sword 2'! Isn't that cool?" "Yeah..." Mark said, his voice happy once more. "Well, I'll see you later, Wade." He hung up and walked back to his room to get dressed. What a strange dream... When the dream ended it looked so upset about something... He shook his head. "It was nothing." He combed back his hair and walked into the living room. A bright light came from between the window blinds, hurting his eyes. "Ugh..." he lifted the shutters only to find that everything outside was pure white. He walked to his door and opened it. Normal. What a relief... He thought. Tap. Tap. Tap. Someone was knocking on the door. He opened it and bob and wade were outside. "Hey guys!" Mark grinned. "Come on in!" He stepped out of their way. "Let's record shall we?" Wade had an unmarked DVD case in his hands. "Is that the game?" Mark asked. "Yeah..." Wade said, handing it to Mark. "This looks... cool..." He said, reading the disc. "Is this an Xbox game?" he asked. "Yep!" Bob said. They walked into the living room. Mark went to get the recording equipment while Bob set up the Xbox. Mark came back and they set up all the equipment. He pulled out two controllers and handed them to bob and wade and picked up his I Am Bread-damaged controller. "Lets do this!" Mark turned on the camera. "Hello, everybody, my name is Markiplier, and welcome to Shard lands: quest for the Deviltail sword 2! This is a new game that Wade found somewhere... completely random... But whatever!" He continued his intro and played through the game. They played until they reached a boss akin to that of the beast from Mark's dream. He stared at its eyes. The same. The whole being was identical. "Obsidian" is what it read. Obsidian... was that its name...? He was broken out of the trance-like state by Wade rushing into battle. The beast opened its mouth like it had in Mark's dream and snapped down. Wade had almost lost all his health when Bob came in, magic blazing. He nearly destroyed the thing. Wade healed himself and attacked. Mark used his crazy weapons and together they brought it down. Just as the body faded away of the boss, the television started to make a static noise. The grinning face was buried in the static. The television static ended and the face was there, staring at him. The creature crawled out from the screen and held Mark's chin gently in its cruel claw. "So we meet at last, Mr. Finbach." It grinned and lifted his face towards its. "How eagerly have I waited for this moment." It grinned and the whole thing flickered away. "Mark?" Wade asked, poking his shoulder. Mark dropped his controller, staring at the screen. he shook his head vigorously and picked up the controller. "Huh?" he looked at the television. Normal. What is going on with me? Am I insane!? He laughed nervously and unpaused. "And that is all for today, folks, so I will see you in the next video. BUH-BYE!" He pushed the power button and the camera's recording light flicked off. He walked over and turned off the Xbox, then walked back over and sat down. "Mark...? Are you alright?" Bob said in a concerned tone.
