A/N: This little 'poem', or whatever, was originally written quite a while ago out of a personal situation. Anyway, after watching a couple of season two episodes again in the last days – and because I needed a break from the stories I'm actually working on at the moment – I simply decided to change this one a little so it fits our favourite couple.
I know it's a bit short – and a bit dark, but hey, it's a Post-Twilight. What'd you expect?

A Crying Heart
"Time is a great healer."
How often did he already hear this sentence?
How often did he tell himself?
A hundred, maybe a thousand times.
In fact, it didn't matter - it remained a lie.
Time can't heal any wounds,
It can only soothe the pain a little.
The scars of the soul slowly die away,
But they never vanish completely.
Only one incident, one memory,
And all old sores open again.
And in a split second,
Pain is back.
Eyes filled with bitter tears,
Hope, that they'll carry away the pain.
In vain.
The tears will dry,
But your heart cries farther on.
Until it stops it's beat.

So, that's it. One of my more personal works, that means a lot to me. Therefore reviews on this one would mean very much to me too. )
