He was the sun. So annoying. She always hates to see him and always avoids his gaze.
Lucy didn't really like him. Not that she hates her existence. He's just... Too loud for his own sake! A blabber mouth.
He always make her pay, cheat, Teases her (whenever he had the chance) Sometimes his insults are below the belt. But at the same time, he's a smooth talker and tries his best to know his limitations.
But that's not enough to make her like him. She doesn't really understand him. At all. One minute he's nice and he's evil the next. There was this one time that he was so nice (she was suspicious of him but decided to give him a chance.) and he paid for her books.
Only to find out that she got the money from her wallet! She really plans to buy those books. But it was still annoying because you know? He gave her false hope. Offered something only to take it back! How dare he do that to her? She convinced herself that it was okay but it was really not.
She finds it hard to forget anything he does. Like that one time when he told her he'll just get something and left her in the middle of the street that was unknown to her. She was almost crying because she's not very good at directions.
Or that one time when he stole her umbrella from her bag and when it rained, she had no choice but to run because she's late and doesn't want scolding.
Or that one time when he cooked soup for her when she got sick because he stole her umbrella. She hates it. She hates that she remembers this moment and every lyric of his favorite song.
Or what's his favorite color. Or his fears, or his favorite meal and how he idolizes his father so much and because of that, he was hurt when he found out he's got a step brother and how he cried like a baby in her arms and how they both fall asleep on the couch.
Or how Lissana his childhood friend told her how she felt about him, about her sun. How she can't live without him and how she had to smile and say she supports her.
It wasn't Lissana's fault that she felt that way because she knew he loved her too. It wasn't anyone's fault. It was hers.
Natsu is the sun for Lucy. He makes her feel sweaty from nervousness, he's an eyesore because he always gives her reasons to be pissed at him. He's the sun because he's beautiful when he's tamed. He's like the sun because every stray of his hair is like light that's just everywhere.
And now as Lucy watched at her sun set, she finally saw what she let go. She finally saw that she should've fought for her love. Because he was worth it. Because she loves him so much.
She silently cried. And at that moment when her sun has set, she wondered why she let a beautiful man like him go.
yay! it's my first time writing a fan fiction!
