Imagine – you and me
Tony DiNozzo sat on his desk in the NCIS bullpen. On the opposite desk sat his co-worker and newest member of the team Ellie Bishop. On the desk next to him sat Timmothy McGee also known as the 'probie' of the team. His boss who should be there as well, wasn't here. He was probably in his basement building his boat like he did it all the time when he need to think. Tony should work, but instead of working he searched for something on his desk. The noises he made were annoying. "What are you searching Tony?", McGee asked as he couldn't hear it anymore. "I've found it, probie.", he replied as he held finally a picture in his hand. He starred at it and got lost in his thoughts. On the picture was his beautiful ex-co-worker, his beautiful Israeli ninja, the love of his life. With her beautiful, long, dark brown, curly hair, her deep brown eyes and her amazing smile. God, he loved smile, even if she hadn't smiled that often. He missed her. He missed her so damn much, but he couldn't do something to bring her back. He just could just sit on his desk and hope she will come back to him one day. And so he just sat on his desk thinking about her and god knows what she's doing. He came back to reality as he got a headslap by his boss Gibbs. He stood in front of him and looked at him with his typical Gibbs-look. "Sorry", Tony mumbled and went back to work, but his concentration didn't stay for too long. Soon his view fell back at the picture which laid still on his desk. He leaned back in his chair and thought about Ziva. His eyes closed and he remembered their time together.
One time they had been undercover as a married assassin couple. She had played his beautiful, pregnant wife and honestly it was so perfect...if it would just be reality. The only hook: They have been undercover. Nothing was real. Oh god, what would he give to get this back. Just thinking about her makes his heart beat faster. "DiNozzo!", his boss yelled after he hung the call he has gotten off. "Yea, boss?", Tony asked. "Grab your gear. We've a case.", Gibbs said grumpily. Ellie, Tony and McGee grabbed their bags and they headed to the trucks. Then they drove to the crime scene. They took pictures and took the evidence, like always. Ducky and Palmer arrived at the crime scene as well. The victim was dead for more than just a few weeks and most of the evidence was unusable. "It's going to be difficult to find the murderer.", McGee said and Ellie and Tony agreed. After they put the victim in the truck they drove back to the Navy Yard. Abby, the forensic scientist, tried to find out who the victim was. Ducky said it's a mid 30 years old, from middle east. They were in the bullpen, Tony looked through the pictures from the crime scene and talked to Ellie who searched for something on her laptop. McGee was downstairs helping Abby in her lab.
Tony's pov:
While the others were working on the case, I started day dreaming again. I couldn't concentrate on the case. I wish I could, it would be easier to work instead of thinking about Ziva. I was also scared that the victim we found was Ziva. The woman was dead since weeks and we couldn't identify her yet, but I know she is from middle east and as old as Ziva. Abby said she had brown long hair, so she could be Ziva. And I haven't heard from her for a long time, a too long time. I missed her so much and I could just hope Ziva is still alive. I know she is strong and she can take care of herself, but I was still a bit scared. Ducky and Abby tried to identify her and I should look at the evidence and find something helpful, but I was trying to find a way to contact Ziva. She couldn't be dead. She could also not be in the states, she would have told me. She's still alive. I keot telling myself she was alive, happy and lived somewhere without danger. Hopefully I was right. I also watched Gibbs since we found the victim and I could tell he was worried as well. And that meant something: Gibbs is worried. He's never been worried...except now. That scared me even more. We had to find Ziva. She must still be alive!
