The Real Lone Ranger
The sleepy little cattle town was shaken by excitement by the appearance of two unusual looking individuals. One wore a black coat and brown pants, although what mostly drew attention to him was the black mask he wore. Beside him walked an Indian dressed in black and brown, face painted white with black stripes, with a black bird perched on top of his head.
"Fear not townspeople," the Indian said. "We have come to save your town from supernatural forces attempting to conquer you!"
Suddenly the two were jumped by two other unusual characters. One wore a similar black mask but was dressed in blue, while the other was an Indian wearing buckskins. The newcomers' horses likewise attacked, and quickly bested, the other pair's horses, which seemed strangely wooden, almost mechanical in movement. After a furious battle, the second pair of humans defeated the first and forced them to walk to the sheriff's office, where they were quickly locked away.
"Nice work, you two," the sheriff said. "We've been getting a lot of complaints about that pair."
"We couldn't let them keep running around the frontier impersonating us," the masked man in blue said. "They were giving us both a bad name."
"How could anyone mistake that man for me?" the Indian in buckskins demanded. "I am not a medicine man, and he is not even an Indian!"
"Don't worry," the sheriff assured them. "Nobody else will believe those two are really you guys."
"Good," the masked man in blue said. "Then we'll be on our way. Adios."
As they hurried to their horses and rode away, the sheriff looked at the men in the cell and shook his head. "You'll be spending a long long time here, but then that's what you two polecats deserve, trying to impersonate the real Tonto, and the real Lone Ranger!"
"Hi-yo, Silver! Away!"
