Poisoned Love

I looked over at Ziva's desk, again. She wasn't feeling well today, I could tell. It looked like she was having a major headache, not that she would admit it. I really was worried about her especially because Ziva was never sick. I just hoped she'll get better soon; I don't like seeing her hurt.

"Ziva, sweetheart, you should go home." I tried it again; seemed like the 100th time for today, but still I'd continue trying till she'd finally give in. She just looked up and gave me one of her deadly looks. I sighed.

"You should rest! I don't like seeing you like this." I got up and came over to her. Standing behind her I massaged her shoulders. She leaned her head back and closed her eyes. I lowered my head to her level.

"You know I love you, right?" I asked her whispering.

"Tony, I won't take a day off. I can do my job." She answered being annoyed. I rolled my eyes and was thankful that she couldn't see it. I kissed her cheek and grabbed one of her hands from behind.

"I really hope you'll change your decision and go home." This time it was her who sighed.

We got interrupted when Gibbs came down the stairs from the director's office.

"We got a new case. Grab your gear." He said and took his gun before he went into the direction of the elevator. We quickly grabbed our own gear and guns and followed him.

"And Ziva, you get the day off." He told her and looked at her worried. I couldn't help but smile knowing she'd listen to what Gibbs says.

"No, Gibbs, I'm okay. I can do my work." She protested but I knew sooner or later she'd do what he tells her to do.

"Really? You don't look okay?" The elevator doors open and we all got our following Gibbs to our cars.

"DiNozzo, take her home and then come to the crime scene." He said before getting into his own car with McGee.

I smiled at Ziva only to see her looking angrily back at me.

"Fine, so let's go get you home." I said and get in our car as well. She got into the passenger seat and I started driving towards our house.

"You know, nobody will think any less of you when you take a day off." I told her. She looked at me skeptically. I knew she hated when others see her being weak; but I don't see it as a weakness, it just makes her human.

I intertwined our fingers and we drove the rest of the drive in silence.

I stopped in front of our house and gave her a quick kiss before she got out. After I've seen her opening the door and getting in, I drove to the crime scene.
