_TRON: The Side Story_
Greetings Program, Welcome to the Grid! I'm CELL_CMBTNT , a High Functions Program (HFS) specifically designed to help free the Grid from what CLU (Codified Likeness Utility) calls perfection... I've met some of the most well known people on the Grid such as CLU, Kevin Flynn, and even TRON himself. In the Evolution, I served as a back-up HFS program for our System Monitor. TRON admired me after that so much that I became the next System Monitor after our first one was derezzed saving Quorra.
Oh, Quorra, she's what this Grid calls an ISO, (isomorphic algorithm) and happens to be the last one too. The ISOs weren't created by anybody; they just sort of appeared, manifested, sparked a flame if you will. But CLU saw them as an imperfection in the Grid, so he killed them all in what was known as the Great Purge. From my experiences on the Grid, I am certain that CLU saw them as a threat to his plans of Grid Domination and needed them erased. This was no accident; this was MURDER! And it's up to me now to stop CLU before he enslaves everyone.

PART I
TRAINING
The Grid had a lot of problems and after our first System Monitor was derezzed, it was up to me. TRON said he would be willing to train me...
"It will also be a long, painful, and tiresome road," TRON informed. "Are you up for the challenge?"
"Yes. Yes I am. I'm willing to take whatever's given."
"Glad to hear that, Program. We leave within the hour for the Outlands."
And so we did. Though I must say that the Outlands isn't the best looking place on the Grid. You could just see the remains of derezzed programs everywhere, mass wastelands of toxic energy, broken and busted up vehicles and extensions. But I couldn't waste time... there was work that needed to be done and lives that needed to be saved.
During my training, I had encountered obstacles using my Light Disc in more enhanced ways, my Light Cycle for more than recreational races, and my own limbs to master the Grid's unique martial art, Tae-Tron-Doe. TRON has trained lots of other great programs such as Beck and Sirus, so I'm sure TRON knows what he's doing. There was a point where I was lost but my NAVI Bit (Navigational Assist Vector Information Bit) guided me. The NAVI Bit was designed for superior programs, Basics & ISOs to lead, guide, and direct.
"You think you can handle another round, Cell", TRON said sarcastically as we turned on our Gen-4 Light Cycles.
"Yes I can, but the question is can YOU go another round..."
TRON and I we did another round or so then came to a stop. We had been training all day and needed a break. When we had our disc wars, he told me, "An angry mind is a narrow mind; you'll see the damage done to them but not the damage done to you." And to this very day I still remember it. I saw my training, not as forced work but fun. But theres a time to be silly and a time to be serious. And now was one of those times to be serious.
