Maybe they could've found a solution, maybe this was avoidable but to Hope this was always a fixed moment in her history. She expected herself to regret the decision she made but she did not, not once. Sometimes Hope hated the large part of herself that always sacrificed her own happiness for others but it was just her nature.

The darkness had already consumed her, both her vision and soul. The tribrid was trapped, unable to escape a prison she put herself in. She felt stuck to the one spot in the endless darkness. Hope Mikaelson wasn't scared easily but somehow this place terrified her.

Hope had nothing to do, she had no way of escaping, no entertainment that can she can use to cover up the current situation. She felt her heart pound in her chest as she realised she was going to be stuck here forever and nobody could save her because they don't even know who she is.

The girl was afraid of people forgetting her, her life didn't matter otherwise, she felt like a blip that meant nothing. Hope wanted to matter, she wanted a good legacy but all of that doesn't matter now. Nothing matters in the darkness.

Hope wondered how long her sanity was going to survive, she knew it was bound to disappear, just when terrified her. She moved a couple of steps but it took her nowhere, as she expected. She wondered if there was something in the darkness. She started to move, hopeful that she would find something, anything. It was probably just a waste of energy but she had nothing else to do.

It was all just darkness, the tribrid knew that but she didn't want to admit it just yet. Hope walked around for what felt like hours only stopping when her feet begged her to stop.

She kept up her tough act even though there wasn't anybody with her. Hope never liked to admit that behind her walls, she was sensitive to the cruel world that stole her parents. Here, in the darkness, the only demon she had to face was herself.

The girl found a spot and sat down. She was cold, freezing actually. She wished she had brought a bigger jacket with her, which she then laughed at the thought.

She closed her eyes, not seeing the point in keeping them open.

Hope didn't know how long she had been in the darkness but it felt like eternity. Her life before this felt like a distant memory. She knew if she stayed here any longer she will start to forget everything.

The young girl rocked back and forward, tears spilling from her light blue orbs. She hated the silence, she hated the loneliness, she hated herself. She hated everything because there wasn't anybody else to blame.

Hope only had the voices in her head to keep her company. The voices weren't kind as you may expect. They tormented her, judged her every action, the voices knew what topics hurt her, they knew everything.

The tribrid started to believe that she deserved this, after all this was her life purpose. She started to think that she is incapable of love, incapable of happiness.

The tears stopped because her body couldn't supply anymore of them. She had a roaring hunger inside of her that she couldn't stop.

Hope had lost hope of any chances of being rescued. She didn't find comfort in anything, not even her own skin. All she wanted was her parents. She wanted a reason to smile but she had already forgotten how to.

She started to scream at the top of her lungs, begging for this to stop. The darkness was worse then death. The voices screamed louder, battling the Tribrid until she finally quieted down.

Her throat burned, regret washed over her in an instance but she couldn't do anything about it, she couldn't rewind time. The power would most likely be dangerous in Hope's possession. The universe always hated Hope, it always found new ways to torture her.

Hope began to scream again. Her body begged for her to quiet down but she didn't listen, she didn't want to loose this battle, she wanted control. Her voice eventually gave out, the Tribrid only succeeding in producing hoarse whispers. Silent sobs escaped her. Tears streamed like a waterfall down her pale face.

Suddenly, all sounds stopped. One last tear fell down Hope's face. The girl looked blankly into the darkness, perhaps this was Hope's breaking point.
