Thalia Grace saw it destroyed, The Olympus.
She always knew that one day, a civilization would have to be ended. At least, even though she fought for the losing side, Thalia never betrayed her friends until the very end, not like someone in the past millenia.
Oh, right. She's already been alive for one thousand years. Today, actually, is the day when Lady Artemis granted her an honor to be the lieutenant of her Hunters.
Another thing she knew was that her life was slipping away. People said that when you are going to die, your life would flashing like a movie with a very fast acceleration. She saw it now. Her early life as a normal demigod, the journey to Camp Half-Blood, wars, adventures with the Hunters... there are so much happy occasions and sad events.
But what had wrecked her heart the most is the last.
/ We are family. You, Annabeth, and me. We'll keep protecting each other until the end, right? /
Luke Castellan.
His image stood still. A calming breeze greeted his blonde hair, his bright blue eyes were looking at her with a sincere beam. He offered his right hand as if he wanted to lift her up and say, "Come with me and we'll be together in Elysium."
Thalia liked him. Note the words used. He is a handsome guy, a good leader, a friend in need and in deed.. he is her everything since she was twelve and Amaltheia led her to him. But after Luke chose to fight in Kronos' side, Thalia was brokenhearted and unable to believe in him anymore. Even in his death, all he cared was Annabeth, not her. Sometimes she thought maybe she should have been survived and trying not to be turned into a tree. After all, he is the reason why she accepted Artemis' offer nearly a thousand years ago. Why was Luke so powerful upon her that he haunted her flashing life now?
A realization hit her hard.
And with her last breath, Thalia Grace whispered her last confession under the crumbling Olympus.
"I still love you, Luke."
*THE END!*
And even though it's late now that everything has turned to ash,
Finally, I know, I still loved you.
