But death is temporary when you have a cult with access to black magic. The Summoners of the Institute of War understood this fully. And so, they summoned Mordekaiser on their terms. Terms he was never given the chance to refuse. Mordekaiser was to be unable to harm any Summoners. Such vague terms would only come back to haunt them. He thought to himself as he was having the full terms of his summoning explained to him. He was summoned to be a part of the "League of Legends" a sort of... bloodsport that results in less death. Every time a Champion falls in battle they are revived. If nothing else, Mordekaiser's interest was piqued. If he could harness the magic that the summoners used, he would be unstoppable./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="b028bf1a48cc86bfc5e19e2de207aed5"Of course, it would not be that simple. Mordekaiser never had any time to actually learn about the magic the summoners used. Every time he wasn't in glorious battle he was frozen into what they call 'Nexus Crystals' There was nothing to do in said crystals except for observing the other matches. However, as boring as it may sound. Mordekaiser learned much during this time. While the other champions in the Nexus Crystal merely prepared for their next battle. Mordekaiser observed as much as he could of the matches. Learning as much as the personalities of some champions. It would not take much to have the Noxian champions lead a revolution against the Institute of War. Simply convincing them that the Institute of War was making them complacent. The champions from Bilgewater would be even more simple, money was all the vast majority of them cared about, the others wanted revenge. A promise he could very easily keep. Demacians were off the table, Too much holier than thou bullshit for his taste. Piltover was much of the same. Zaun... Was an interesting case. Shurima was next to impossible save for Sivir. And finally, the unaligned. Mordekaiser had much respect for these champions. They survived without anyone to help them. With the people from their own nations attempting to hunt them down. If there were any champions he needed on his side. It was them. Yasuo, The Unforgiven. It would be a matter of convincing him to actually em style="box-sizing: border-box;"allow/em Mordekaiser to help him. It had been quite some time since he had to ask someone to actually let him help them. Riven, The Exile. It didn't appear he would be able to get her on his side. Though she didn't seem like she would lay down her life for the Institute either. Aatrox, The Darking Blade. It was likely he would jump at the opportunity to be freed from the Institute of Wars imprisonment alongside him, just like the rest of the Darkin. Alistar would likely assist the Insitute of War against the Noxians if he could get them on his side. Aurelion Sol would be easily convinced to help him if he killed off Mount Targon and released their control on him. Bard was off-planet at the moment, nobody really knows why. Gnar would enjoy the combat. Nocturne, being imprisoned, would also likely jump to assist him./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="6f83b42fa3c26f78e65b02f2ad670ac4"With his mind set on who to attempt to recruit, he had to do this carefully, and quickly. If he was discovered he would never get another chance. There was a 1 month period for the summoners powers to recharge where the Champions were left to look after the Chained Champions. He would have to convince the targets while they were watching him./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="670234ffded756aaed7a6b7809c853cf"And so, he did. The final list of combatants was: Aatrox, Aurelion Sol, Blitzcrank, Brand, Cassiopeia, Darius, Dr. Mundo, Draven, Elise, Evelynn, Fiddlesticks, Gnar, Graves, Hecarim, Illaoi, Jhin, Karthus, Katarina, Kayn, Kled, LeBlanc, Nocturne, Miss Fortune, Olaf, Pyke, Renekton, Rengar, Sejuani, Shaco, Sion, Sivir, Swain, Sylas, Syndra, Talon, Thresh, Urgot, Varus, Veigar, Viktor, Vladimir, Volibear, Xerath, Yorick and Zed on his side. /p

p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="46ea45bec2f57b7ce69799c80a12eba6"It was very clear they were outnumbered, they would have to launch a surprise attack to disorient the institute. It was easy to bribe one of the summoners to free them, all it took was a promise of eternal life. Which wasn't entirely untrue. They waited until it was midnight, they had planted multiple Zaunite gas bombs in every major dorm. They decided to siege the dorms for Mount Targon first. If left be, the demigods of Targon would provide too much resistance to be ignored. The first target would be Soraka, he sent Zed and Talon ahead to kill any guards and carry out the assassination. The other demigods would be alerted of Soraka's death immediately. So they had to time it perfectly with the charge into the building. Aurelion Sol, unable to harm any of the inhabitants of Mount Targon, lest his stars be destroyed, was content to simply watch the carnage from above./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="4ee7659a9c5ad750726ff96a390724ab"Zed and Talon arrived in Soraka's living quarters. She was meditating, back towards them "I know why you are here." She stands up, they ready their weapons. "I don't intend to fight you, it would be futile." They lower their arms in surprise. "But let me ask you, why do you think span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"you/span are here." They had no answer. "Very well, let us continue." Soraka sits back down and returns to meditating. They wait and wait. A total of 15 minutes passes before they deliver the blow. Just as they do so, Mordekaiser kicks in the front door. Pantheon, having already sensed the impending battle, is waiting for them. He lasts a decent while but the numbers advantage proves too great. However, he bought the remaining Demigods enough time to arm themselves against Mordekaiser's army. Diana, Taric and Zoe battled with the army while Mordekaiser dragged Leona into his realm of death./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="e0d72c6f2e7db8534c95e3d0f4a52eec"The first strike came from Leona smashing Mordekaiser across the faceplate with her shield. Knowing full well the blade of her sword would shatter on his armour. Mordekaiser responded with a smash downward from Nightfall, two more and he would gain enough power to tear her apart with a maelstrom. He followed up with a strike to her side that was deflected. Before Mordekaiser could recover, another strike from her shield slammed into his chest plate. And unlike any other battles, he actually em style="box-sizing: border-box;"felt/em it. He felt her strike shake his very core. If he had a body, he would smile. This was going to be fun. Mordekaiser threw out a strike to bait her into deflecting once again. She took the bait and he followed up with a kick directly to her chest, sending her sprawling onto the floor 10 feet away. One more. To her credit, she recovered quickly. Realizing the situation, she took to the defensive, content to wait out the time Mordekaiser could store the power he took before it returned to her. But he was not going to simply let her wait it out. If she was to survive this battle, she was going to earn it. Mordekaiser slammed Nightfall just short of her and rushed forward with a punch aimed for the side of her head. With surprising agility for someone in full plate armour, she rolled behind him and struck him in the back of the knee. He was forced to one leg but this was not the end of her attack. She grabbed her sword in a half-swording stance and slammed the guard into the side of his helmet. He hit the floor, hard. He could hear a slight em style="box-sizing: border-box;"crack. span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"She had cracked his fucking armour./span /emShe would pay for that with her life. Before she could follow up with another strike, Mordekaiser delivered an uppercut to the bottom of her chin. She hit the ceiling of the Realm of Death and by the time she was falling Mordekaiser was already swinging. There was a satisfying crunch as Mordekaiser's mace connected with her back. Her spine had nearly been broken by the swing, one more would seal her fate. Several of her ribs simply snapped. She slowly rose up from the ground. Mordekaiser swung downwards she managed to deflect the swing and Nightfall landed next to her head. "You are strong, Leona. Stronger than I imagined. You have earned your life. However... You will have to appreciate the compliment in your next vessel." As she tried to raise her shield to what she thought would be another strike, he stomped down on her arm. Mordekaiser raised Nightfall and brought it down once more. Rending Leona's armour and flesh. He took the remaining two seconds he had in the Realm of Death to reflect on the fight. If he had fought her during the day when she could call upon the Sun. He would have lost. She was truly an impressive warrior. Rather than claim the soul of the Aspect of the Sun, he allowed it to go back to Targon to find a new vessel./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="5e95a170c7ab8142074bc8fe90a00672"The Realm of Death collapsed around Mordekaiser and he saw the battle had nearly reached its end. Diana was the only remaining combatant from Targon. Rengar, Graves and Miss Fortune were pushing her back while the other members of his army watched. Every time she deflected a strike from Rengar, she landed a strike on him and one of the ranged fighters. "Enough." Mordekaiser declared. Rengar stopped and retreated, not wishing to piss off the man who just killed the equal of someone he and two others had been struggling with. Diana looked over to him, exhausted and panting and saw Leona's corpse. "Leo! You son of a bitch!" Diana charged at him, transforming into pure energy. However, even the strongest strike she could manage was not much compared to Leona's raw strength. Diana focused on agility more than her strength it would seem. The Aspect of the Moon did still manage to push him a few feet back. He allowed her a few seconds to mourn over Leona's body. "She was an impressive fighter, you should be proud of her life. Not mourning over her death." Diana rose to her feet and called to the moon. A beam of pure energy engulfed the surrounding few feet around her. She charged at Mordekaiser, who still had enough energy stored from Leona to make a maelstrom of death. As she got within three feet of him, she was engulfed in searing pain from seemingly every direction, she was torn apart by the maelstrom in seconds. Looking back at the other Aspects, The Aspect of the Protector had died doing what looked like living up to his name. Trying to give the Aspect of Twilight enough time to fight back. Seemingly, he had succeeded. Sivir, Shaco, Kled and Dr. Mundo were dead. Azir would likely not be happy to learn of his descendant's death. Fortunately for him, he would likely never learn of it. /p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="be07e27814d635f4cd6284fa412da1b8"The next stop was Shurima's living quarters. While Mount Targon was separated from the others, Shurima would be loud. Very loud. The other champions would know something was going on and check it out. Their only chance of victory would be to end the fight even faster than it had gone with Targon. Mordekaiser would have to combat two ascended in his Realm of Death or else his army would be massacred. Nasus would take too long for his army to kill and Azir would rip them asunder with his soldiers of sand. The thing about soldiers of sand is that they don't work very well if you're made of out steel. They progressed to the Shuriman living quarters. The assassins would not be able to kill anybody. They would have died trying. Mordekaiser quickly kicked the door in and they charged. Within seconds, the Ascended were out of their rooms. Mordekaiser pulled them into the Realm of Death before they could get an idea of what was going on. Nasus was quickly knocked aside and Azir was charged before he could make a defensive line. Mordekaiser grabbed his staff and threw Azir to the other side of the Realm of Death. Mordekaiser turned back to Nasus. "Why are you doing this? What do you hope to gain?" Nasus asks "I will not be a prisoner any longer. The only way to ensure my freedom is to destroy the Institute of War." Nasus, in all his infinite wisdom, could not truly find any way to refute that claim. The Institute of War was keeping Mordekaiser as a prisoner. That was true. "Did you ever consider the world may be better off with you kept here as a prisoner?" Nasus was trying to find a way to say he was wrong without lying. "If that is the case, then the world is my enemy, and they shall be treated as such." It was clear Nasus was not going to get through to Mordekaiser with words. If he recalled, Mordekaiser respected strength more than anything. "If you think you can beat the entire Institute of War, you are sorely mistaken." Nasus says before changing into a stance for battle. "I don't have to, Mount Targon has already been dealt with." Mordekaiser wields Nightfall in two hands while walking towards Nasus. Mordekaiser swings Nightfall diagonally down towards Nasus. Nasus blocks and his axe is brought down into a lock with Nightfall. Mordekaiser kicks Nasus in the Solar Plexus, knocking him off balance. Before he can recover, Mordekaiser knocks him to the ground with a punch. Mordekaiser moves to end Nasus quickly, but and large and loud slam knocks Mordekaiser 25 feet away. Azir had recovered and raised a shield wall to protect Nasus. "Rise, Nasus, the glory of Shurima must always succeed." Nasus rises to his feet. "Rise with Shurima, Mordekaiser, or fall beneath it." Azir awaited Mordekaiser's response. "em style="box-sizing: border-box;"Pathetic glory seeker./em" Mordekaiser stands tall. "The unworthy have no place in history." Azir summons three soldiers surrounding Mordekaiser. A quick swing of Nightfall around him takes care of the three soldiers before they can do any damage. Mordekaiser progresses, his movement only minorly slowed by the hundreds of soldiers Azir summons in his path. When he gets within 10 feet of them, Nasus moves to stop him. Nasus' weaknesses being covered by Azir's soldiers, he has a much better result than the last time. Mordekaiser manages to land a strike on Nasus' side and slams Nightfall down. Azir summons a mass of soldiers and managed to push Mordekaiser back. Then, time ran out. The Realm of Death collapsed all around Mordekaiser, Azir and Nasus. Azir was immediately blasted with energy from Xerath and Renekton charged Nasus. Azir was forced to backpedal, but that was quickly stopped by Xerath throwing a ball of disorienting energy that forced Azir to try and regain his footing. Azir was quickly smashed under the weight of Mordekaiser's mace. "How...?" Azir asked to himself. "Lives are temporary, I stand eternal." Mordekaiser strikes Nasus in the back and into Renekton's blade. "Eternity is beyond your reach." Nasus coughs out "So many blunder on with a false sense of purpose, I shall sunder them from their lies." Mordekaiser laughs. "You should have done a better job of imprisoning me, brother." Amumu, Rammus and Skarner are dead. Taliyah is bleeding out on the floor. Before they could finish her off. The closest champions, Ionia, arrive./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="7516c0c653a2254b30b297608ab8edaa"Mordekaiser quickly draws in Ahri, Akali, Irelia and Master Yi. Before anyone could waste his time with words, Mordekaiser charges forward. Intent on finishing this quickly so he can assist his army against Ionia, Mordekaiser unleashes a maelstrom. Master Yi and Akali and immediately torn apart, their souls reinvigorating Mordekaiser. Spectral arms drag Ahri and Irelia to their quick but not painless deaths. The realm of death collapses and Mordekaiser sees Yasuo help Taliyah to her feet. Yasuo turns to Mordekaiser "No more running." Mordekaiser can't help but let out a chuckle. This mortal hopes to beat him? He has slain Ascended. Mordekaiser decides to humour him. He drags him and his protege into his realm. "Face your end." Mordekaiser taunts. "This story is not yet finished." "We are stronger than you think." Despite her injuries, Taliyah manages to stand upright. Yasuo walks halfway towards Mordekaiser, hand on his sword that remains in its scabbard. Mordekaiser sends forth spectral arms to drag him closer. "em style="box-sizing: border-box;"Choryon!/em" A wall of wind suddenly blocks the arms. Mordekaiser gives pause, slightly startled by the newcomer's display. "A wind blade technique? Rather impressive, for a mortal." Mordekaiser would need to take this seriously if he was truly a master of the Ionian Wind Blade techniques. "Aseryo!" Mordekaiser was suddenly ripped from the ground, "Sorye ge ton!" Mordekaiser was span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"slammed/span into the ground. em style="box-sizing: border-box;"Such force, from a mortal! But how!? This should not be possible! /emMordekaiser panicked an unleashed a maelstrom, hoping to end him fast. But a barrier of wind protected his soul. Without direct access to the soul, the maelstrom would not be dangerous. Five rocks slammed into Mordekaiser's back. He had forgotten about the rockslinger. He took a step backwards and then turned to charge at her, without a shield she would be torn apart. When he took the first bound forward, the ground exploded under him. They were too strong for him to beat, that much was clear. Mordekaiser would have to use his trump card. When he stood, he clenched his fist. A roar could be heard even from outside of the Realm of Death. One of the creatures Mordekaiser treasured the soul of, Mordekaiser had summoned an Elder Dragon to the battlefield. Yasuo runs towards Taliyah, immediately throwing out a wind wall once he skids to a stop. The Elder Dragons first blast was stopped, then the second, then the third. But the fourth blast smashed through the wind wall and sent the two reeling. As they recovered, another blast sent Taliyah back down onto the floor, unconscious. /p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="1cecb8caa1502cef31ee2749805daf47"The Realm of Death collapses, and Yasuo lets out a sigh of relief. But the Elder Dragon didn't disappear. In fact, it gained a physical form once more. Realizing its will was still bound to Mordekaiser, all of the Institutes forces were aghast. Swain ordered the Noxians to charge for Mordekaiser, hoping that killing him would remove the dragon from the fight. Or at the very least, set it loose on Mordekaiser's army. Cassiopeia, Draven, Katarina, Talon and Vladimir met with Annie, Darius, LeBlanc, Morgana, Sion and Swain and let the slugfest begin. Before the fight could begin, Mordekaiser pointed to Darius, "You claim strength Darius, prove it." Mordekaiser threw down Nightfall, as to give him a fair fight. Darius gripped his axe tight, even without Mordekaiser having a weapon, he knew this was going to be hard. "Defy Noxus and taste your own blood." Bravado, but hopefully it would work./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="a4ef424fb528483dc170709b9f41482e"Darius made a strong opening swing, spinning around with his axe. Mordekaiser ducked below it and delivered a powerful jab to Darius' stomach before delivering a hammer strike with both hands to Darius' neck when he hunched over. Mordekaiser grabs Darius by the hair "Only the worthy receive the gift of Nightfall's kiss." He quickly slams Darius into the stone. Katarina and Leblanc move so quickly, it was almost like a practiced dance. LeBlanc just barely dodging strikes before trying to distance herself as much as possible. After sufficient distance, LeBlanc launches a barrage of magic, Katarina easily dodges and the process repeats. Draven launches axe after axe at Morgana, who continues to dodge without being able to counter-attack. Before the battle could progress any further, the summoners arrived on the scene. Quickly realizing the situation was far too out of hand for them to handle normally, they summoned all remaining champions to the Summoners Rift. Mordekaiser's army on one side and the Institute's side on the other. 'Of course, this em style="box-sizing: border-box;"would/em be their answer.' Looking towards his army he counted who was missing. Blitzcrank, Urgot, Viktor, Brand, Olaf, Cassiopeia, Vladimir, Evelynn, Fiddlesticks, Karthus, Graves, Miss Fortune, Jhin, Zed and Rengar. Rhaast had overtaken Kayn. He didn't know how many from the Institute had died. Mordekaiser immediately ordered defensive positions. He sent all of the champions to their usual lanes. Aatrox, Sejuani, Volibear, Hecarim, Yorick, Gnar, Illaoi and Renekton joining him in the top lane. Varus and Draven providing damage from bot lane. Rhaast, Elise and Nocturne in the jungle. Aurelion Sol, Katarina, Talon, Veigar, Syndra, Xerath and Sylas in the middle lane. Finally, Thresh and Pyke supporting Varus and Draven bot lane. Immediately he ordered an engage. The summoners warned each team that death would be permanent, as this was only a minor version of the Summoners Rift and not the real thing. This meant that their powers weren't suppressed. The focus was immediately put on Yasuo. Sejuani slammed into him, Aatrox began a combo, and Volibear flipped him towards Mordekaiser. The combination of all this and Mordekaiser delivering a slam into Yasuo ended him. One Stack. This did not go unpunished by the Institute's side, however. Shen, Jax, Riven and Tryndamere immediately engaged, Mordekaiser engaged Riven pulling her away from both his team and her compatriots. Two stacks. Mordekaiser and Riven traded blows and the final stack was gained. Riven raised her guard, but it was clear the shield would not hold for long. Riven attempted to flee once more. But another pull from Mordekaiser made it clear that running was not an option. All Riven could do was make an attempt to survive as long as possible to give her team time. It was futile, just as she finished her thought, her shield broke. Riven was torn to shreds in less than a second. Mordekaiser turned back to the fight. It looks like Jax had really earned his title. He had picked up Yasuo's katana and seemed to be wreaking havoc. Mordekaiser dragged Jax into his tower and then tossed him into the Realm of Death, not bothering to enter it himself. The turret would make quick work of him. Only five remained standing. Kennen, Malphite, Ornn, Trundle and Garen. Kennen was quickly dispatched by Aatrox. The rest put up more of a fight. Eventually, their backup arrived. By then, Sejuani, Volibear and Yorick had fallen. Wukong, Kha'Zix, Rek'Sai and Warwick were the first to jump into the fray. Udyr, Shyvana and Nidalee following shortly behind them. Rhaast, Elise and Nocturne were hot on their heels. Darkness overtook the area and Nocturne quickly tore Kha'Zix apart. Elise immediately incapacitated Nidalee and Rhaast began to combat the remaining tanks, draining their life essence with each blow. Rhaast cleaved Ornn in two and knocked Trundle into the sky before performing an Umbral Trespass, killing the King of Trolls as well. Returning to the fray, Mordekaiser entered combat with Wukong and Udyr mainly focusing on keeping Udyr away while taking pot shots at the monkey king, Mordekaiser quickly noticed a mistake they had made. Wukong was only paying attention to his mace, not his whole body. Mordekaiser squeezed his fist closed and spectral arms crushed Wukong. Without waiting and giving him a chance to counter-attack Mordekaiser quickly swung at Udyr who deftly dodged the strike. Mordekaiser, however, not underestimating the Spirit Guard, expected this. Once the strike missed, Mordekaiser released his grip on Nightfall and backhanded Udyr into a wall. A crack was heard and Udyr fell to the ground limply. Mordekaiser grabbed Nightfall and a gargled scream was heard. Rek'Sai managed to land a bite directly to Elise's throat. Mordekaiser nearly had to congratulate the beast, it was the first to kill one of his soldiers one on one. Mordekaiser would give it the privilege of a painless death. Before he could engage Rek'Sai, Hecarim charged her. Rek'Sai caught Hecarim before he could complete the attack. Another swift bite to the neck and Hecarim was dead. Now Mordekaiser was simply annoyed. Before anyone else could get themselves killed with Rek'Sai's fury Mordekaiser issued a challenge. He slammed Nightfall into the ground and drew a line. Even a beast as simple as Rek'Sai realized when it was challenged. Rek'Sai dove under the ground, exactly what Mordekaiser counter on. He delivered a hard stomp to the ground, causing a miniature earthquake. Rek'Sai never came back up. The battle had concluded. Gnar, Illaoi and Renekton had died on his side. The rest of the Insitute's champions that came top lane were in a pool of their own blood. Quickly ordering a regroup. He realized it was likely that the Middle lane would need assistance immediately. Aatrox, Mordekaiser, Rhaast and Nocturne ran to mid lane. It was clear Aurelion Sol was still weakened by the crown, but he had still held his own. Anivia, LeBlanc, Kassadin, Vel'Koz, Ekko, Orianna, Galio and Fizz had died on the Institute's side. Aurelion, Veigar, Syndra and Xerath had fallen on his side. "Clutch your borrowed power, Grand General. Your soul is already mineem style="box-sizing: border-box;"./em" Before a response could be given, Swain's patron began to panic, trying to tell Swain to run. Mordekaiser dragged him into the Realm of Death. After seeing how powerful Mordekaiser was, Swain wasted no time transforming. He began draining power from Mordekaiser. Unfortunately for him, Mordekaiser's power was toxic to any mortal. Swain got the opposite effect from what he hoped. He could feel himself weakening with each bit of power that entered him. Soon, Swain was screaming from the pain. He simply couldn't handle it. "Such meaningless struggle." Swain realized he had fallen for such a simple deception, em style="box-sizing: border-box;"of course/em, Mordekaiser's power would be dangerous, he would settle for nothing less. "Destiny marches, like any man." Swain coughed out. As Swain falls, the Realm of Death ends its reign on his soul. As soon as he exits the Realm of Death, Mordekaiser is slammed in the side by what feels like... A Warhammer? Jayce, of course. Mordekaiser rolls out of the way from a shock blast. Before Mordekaiser can retaliate, Jayce is shredded to ribbons by a hail of daggers. Along with Taliyah and Ryze. Lissandra is quickly dispatched by Rhaast. Marking the battle's end, Lissandra falls to the floor. Katarina and Sylas remained standing and Talon had fallen to Ryze just before Mordekaiser had killed off Swain. Mordekaiser hoped his bot lane had survived, but it would not be a terrible loss if they hadn't. /p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="dc836d74f9d0222e5f437fa5afe223a0"While walking down the river to bot lane. Purple plasma was fired towards them and they were rushed by Lucian. However, everyone was already on edge and Lucian was cut down before he could fire off any shots. Braum and Nautilus were the next two sent forward, a much better idea than sending the fragile ADC again. A staff flew ahead and covered them in a shield of light. When Mordekaiser attempted to pull Lux towards him to be torn asunder like Lucian, a Black Shield surrounded her and a Dark Binding flew past Mordekaiser and into Nocturne, who had managed to raise his spell shield in time. He dashed off to try and kill her. A scream of surprise and a flash of holy light meant that had gone wrong. Kayle and Quinn jumped over the Dragon Pit. Kayle locked weapons with Mordekaiser and stared into his faceplate as if expecting to see eyes. Kayle's orange eyes hardened and she pushed Mordekaiser back. Surprised by the display of strength, Mordekaiser allowed himself to fall a few more feet than he should've backwards. "Ready to be judged!?" Kayle demands "Weaklings cower in the light, I bring eternal darkness." Mordekaiser taunts "Only those with malice in their heart need fear the light! I shall purge this world of evil, and the fires of Justice shall vanquish the darkness!" Mordekaiser was never one for preachers. He swung, expecting to simply crush her like he had all others in his way. Kayle blocked his swing, but she was pushed into the soil slightly. Before he could follow up, he felt something slam into his dented side and turned to see who dared to strike him in such a cowardly fashion. Quinn panicked when Mordekaiser looked at her, she wasn't expecting him to still be standing. Then the words escaped Mordekaiser's soul "No escape." and Quinn was dragged to the earth. A swing from Nightfall was all it took, and she was dead. While Kayle recovered, Mordekaiser looked to the battle. Morgana was too busy trying to stop his remaining champions from progressing to protect the three remaining damage dealers. Mordekaiser chucked Nightfall through Xayah's chest and she fell limp. The viscera threw Kai'Sa off balance and Mordekaiser made sure to take advantage of that. With a quick jump forward what was formerly Kai'Sa was now a stain in the water. Mordekaiser picked up Nightfall just in time to block a strike from the angel who had recovered. "As evil grows, so shall I." Right, those Ascensions he had unfortunately never experienced before. With even more strength than the last time, Kayle brought her sword down on Mordekaiser, who only barely managed to deflect it. Before Kayle could return to a defensive stance, Mordekaiser slammed his shoulder into her. Kayle flew back into the dragon pit and smacked into the wall. The wall behind her cracked. Morgana was forced to retreat to Kayle. Morgana helps Kayle to her feet. "Today, it seems we must put out animosity aside." "We've never been enemies, sister." "How beautiful your mind must be to think such things." "How tragic yours to believe them." Aatrox, Rhaast and Sylas progress towards the two sisters. Kayle, standing tall begins to hover in the air. "span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"em style="box-sizing: border-box;"Behold, the righteous flame!/em/span" Another ascension!? Kayle casts a truly intimidating visage. "em style="box-sizing: border-box;"span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"You may have been innocent once, Sylas... No longer./span/em" A quick slash of her blade sends holy light towards Sylas, and he loses a leg. Sylas falls to the ground in agony. Another quick slash rends the rest of his apart. Morgana shields Kayle and a quick 'thank you' marks Kayle's entrance into battle once more. Aatrox attempts to blocks Kayle's blades but is pushed back 15 feet for his efforts. Rhaast attempts to land a blow to use Umbral Trespass but is swiftly skewered. Rhaast falls off of Kayle's blade and to the floor. "span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"em style="box-sizing: border-box;"This is your penance, Darkin!/em/span" Aatrox regains his footing and activates World Ender. Mordekaiser joins the fray once more. Aatrox and Mordekaiser simultaneously swing with all their might, thinking she would have to choose which one to block. She blocks neither, instead opting to purify Aatrox. "em style="box-sizing: border-box;"span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"Kneel before the light!/span/em" and suddenly, Mordekaiser was alone in this fight. Realizing this would not be possible in his current state, Mordekaiser unleashed the true power of the Iron Revenant. "em style="box-sizing: border-box;"I carve my kingdom beyond, from the ashes of nothing, no mortals, not even gods, will stop me from claiming what is mine./em" Mordekaiser summons forth his greatest accomplishment. The greatest beast he has ever slain. Mordekaiser calls forth, the Vilemaw. A spider-like creature at least 15 stories tall. The Vilemaw was known for crushing entire cities in less than a day. But Kayle was not intimidated in the slightest. For nothing could defeat the light. "em style="box-sizing: border-box;"span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"Injustice is a festering rot, and I am its cauterizing blade./span/em" Each strike penetrated at least a foot deep into the Vilemaw's carapace, but the Vilemaw was left unfazed. The Vilemaw struck out a claw at Morgana, it would crush her, and she had no way of moving out of the way fast enough. em style="box-sizing: border-box;""Sister!" /emKayle's voice faltered from its new righteousness and she sounded actually afraid, not for herself, but for Morgana. "Kayle!" A shield of light surrounded Morgana. Kayle let loose volleys of holy light into the Vilemaw. Every streak of light was preceded by a yell. Kayle didn't bother to move out of the way of strikes from the Vilemaw, preferring to press the attack at any possible time, only bothering to dodge attacks that would leave her incapacitated. By the time she had managed to fell the Vilemaw, she was bruised and bloodied. Kayle fell to the ground in a heap. Barely maintaining consciousness. Mordekaiser walks towards her. "Hea-span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;" heal by fire./span" Kayle managed to put herself back together enough that she could stand. The streaks of flame coming from her swings had slowed significantly now that the Vilemaw had been defeated. She had used too much of her power trying to protect Morgana./p

Kayle didn't move to block. Mordekaiser assumed she accepted her defeat. As he brought down Nightfall, Kayle charged forward, her blade cleaving through his armour. "span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"Drown in holy fire!/span"em style="box-sizing: border-box;" /emMordekaiser drops to his knees, the holy blade making him unable to move. Morgana runs to Kayle "em style="box-sizing: border-box;"Your sword is with me. Do you want it back?/em" Kayle asks, coughing up blood all the while. "Yes." Kayle reveals the sword he had been holding in her main hand and presents it to Morgana. No other words need to be spoken, they know what is to be done. The blade dims in Morgana's hand, and she brings the blade towards her left hand. A quick slice and Morgana falls to her knees. The agony would be unbearable for many, but Morgana was stronger than many. After all, she made it this far. After what felt like hours, Morgana rose to her feet. Now glowing even more brilliantly than Kayle. "span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"em style="box-sizing: border-box;"You have been left to your own devices for too long, Mordekaiser, now burn! Burn in holy light!/em/span" Morgana shoves her sword through Mordekaiser's back. "Finality approaches. Let the foolish curse me." "Indeed. It would be foolish to even speak your name enough to curse you."/p

Once he reaches the ground the voice reaches out to him again "We will grant you life once more, a test, if you will. There's a path, he begins to follow it. It's cold. Wait. Cold? He shouldn't be able to feel the cold, he has no... He has a body. It doesn't matter all that much, though, he feels like something else is off. After a few hours of following the trail, he notices a woman in a cloak, kneeling down and offering what looks to be an apple into the nothing. He's quite a distance away, but he can see another woman about 10 feet in front of her. Suddenly, the woman in the green cloak jumps back and draws a staff. The other woman also jumps back and begins firing two pistols. The woman in the cloak spins her staff around her and knocks the other one back using the wind. An Elemental, then. A man in grey jumps off the fence and attempts a dropkick on the woman, she blocks with her staff and the man jumps back. As this happens, the other woman recovered and charged at the Elemental and was once again knocked back. The man's boots have guns in them -em style="box-sizing: border-box;"because of course they do /emand he uses them to blast himself towards the Elemental. She releases a stream of fire from her staff and then man positions his legs near-perfectly in front of him and they take the brunt of the blast. He continues to move forward through the flames and lands a kick square on the Elemental's jaw, sending her reeling. The other woman capitalizes on the opportunity and stomps on the Elemental's stomach before jumping back a safe distance. The other woman, defying all logic, stands up. A blast of wind em style="box-sizing: border-box;"looking a whole lot like a fucking tornado /emengulfs the area. The woman starts floating and lightning crackles through the clouds. The Elemental calls down a lightning strike towards the two, which, by some miracle, they dodge. This trend continues and a woman in a dress slinks out of the shadows and starts to rush the Elemental. She conjures a fireball down towards the woman, which she quickly jumps over. When she lands, she takes the debris and launches it at the Elemental- the first Elemental, apparently em style="box-sizing: border-box;"she's/em one too. Mordekaiser could already tell he was not going to like this place very much. The first Elemental falls to the ground, seemingly injured quite a bit. All three rush the first Elemental, though she only barely seems to notice, em style="box-sizing: border-box;"is one of them an illusionist? /emMordekaiser span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold;"fucking hates/span illusionists. If that should even need to be explained. The first woman enters a brief melee with the other Elemental before she pushes back the latest addition to the combat. She manages to beat back the other two for a short while before the man lands another kick on her jaw. As the Elemental charges the two, the new Elemental changes her weapon into a bow, somehow, and nocks three arrows. The three land around the Elemental and explode into pillars of flame. The sound of something shattering can be heard as well as a scream from the first Elemental. She attempts to get up as the three slowly walk towards her. The exhaustion was feigned, however, and she pushes all three back at once with another burst of wind. In quick succession, the man and the second woman are blasted with energy. The Elemental reaches for her staff and begins to limp towards the second woman slowly. The Illusionist letting out a startled 'huh?' the Elemental raises her staff in the air to finish the woman off and is promptly shot in the back by an arrow. em style="box-sizing: border-box;"A cheap shot/em. Mordekaiser was practically fuming at this point. The woman drops her bow and walks towards the Elemental. She pulls a white glove out of her pouch and puts it on. The other two grab her by the arms and raise her up. A sound akin to a brief scream is heard and the elemental begs "Please don't." A black substance covers half of the Elemental's face and a burst of wind, much lower in energy than her normal blasts, extends outwards. The second Elemental starts to glow. By this point, Mordekaiser was running to help the Elemental- No! To kill the cowards! When Mordekaiser was within ten feet, the second Elemental noticed him and he brought Nightfall down on the lines of the black substance connecting the first Elemental to the glove. The second Elemental jumped back in time to not have her hand go with the glove. The first Elemental goes limp and Mordekaiser catches her. Before Mordekaiser can get a good look at her face, a pillar of flame erupts from underneath him. When he looks up, they're gone. One question flashes in Mordekaiser's mind. "Why did I help her?"/p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="3b51d9196fb540ccd3567da767ccaadb"Ozpin was having an... odd day. He received a message from the Brothers informing him that someone from another world had been placed on their world. They didn't tell him much about the person, only that their name was Mordekaiser. Unbeknownst to him, this day was about to get a whole lot worse. He didn't think anything of it when he got a message from Qrow, likely another field report. But when he read the text, his heart dropped. "Amber's been attacked, following, keep you posted." Now known to him, this day had gone from odd to garbage faster than Ozpin could've cared for./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="597b0b69ee936eb6c2417053a90e108f"Qrow didn't much enjoy that this person waited for Amber to be in grave danger to intervene, but it was better than he could say, he barely got there in time to so much as em style="box-sizing: border-box;"watch/em the tail end of the fight. Much less help Amber. they clearly weren't one of Salem's pawns, but their armor didn't exactly cast a heroic visage. They could've easily been a bandit. They didn't have a transforming weapon either, from what Qrow could see. Making it all the more likely that they were a bandit. But why would a bandit help a person in need? Shifting into a bird, Qrow began to follow them more closely, trying to get a more in-depth feel for the person. If he just attacked someone who turned out to be a hunter, it would not go over well with Ozpin. Even if it was to ensure Amber's safety. He had to be certain this person meant harm to Amber before he engaged them in combat. So he did exactly that, he decided to follow them for two days./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="e20d560cb76915408710a42716e5c9ac"When Qrow went completely radio silent for two days, Ozpin began to fear the worst. When he finally got a message, he was startled, to say the least. Once he had calmed down, he actually read the text. "There's a big one in full plate, saved Amber from the three assailants. Preparing to enter dialogue, coordinates attached, send bullhead for retrieval." Amber was safe and Qrow was alive... For the time being. That was all that Ozpin could hope for. Now to send that bullhead./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="314d947f2f64fdccaa055026114f577f"There were a lot of things Qrow wasn't expecting when he entered a dialogue with the person in full plate. Someone who was articulate, for one, he had entirely expected it to devolve into a fight after 'hi'. He wasn't expecting the person who managed to scare off the people who had beaten Amber to have no Aura. But least of all he wasn't expecting it to be an absolutely drop-dead fucking em style="box-sizing: border-box;"gorgeous/em woman under the armor. He elected not to comment on any of those facts, for fear of having his fear smashed in by the very large mace she elected to refer to as Nightfall. He explained to her that Amber was an important person in Vale. She seemed momentarily confused as to what Vale even em style="box-sizing: border-box;"was/em if the expression in her eyes was anything to go off. However, to her credit, she quickly shrugged it off. If it was just about anyone but Qrow, they wouldn't have noticed. He chalked it up to her being from an outer village, that would also explain why she had no aura. Usually, the first thing that's explained is names, but it took Qrow about 3 hours to realize they had never introduced themselves. She called herself Morde Kaiser, not named after a color... Very outer village. After Ozpin arrived Qrow greeted him and explained the situation while Morde went to retrieve Amber. Ozpin was more than a little bit annoyed that he was not informed of Amber's condition. However, he quickly changed his tune when he learned the woman's name. Qrow didn't bother asking, he knew he wasn't going to get an answer. But the fact that Ozpin was interested in her was more than a little intriguing. What was even more intriguing was when Ozpin offered her a place in Beacon Academy. /p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="adee9420d1db985113cd328970cb141a"Ozpin was almost mad at Qrow until he found out that he had found Mordekaiser before he had even told him about the other-worldly warrior. When he arrived he was offered a 'scroll' and a room. He almost said he didn't need the room, but then he remembered the whole... having a body issue that now plagued him. So he graciously accepted. Mordekaiser was almost upset when they assumed he didn't know how to work a scroll. But then he realized that he actually didn't. This was not a simple scroll of paper, this was an advanced piece of delicate technology. By the time he learned the layout of Beacon Academy, Mordekaiser was absolutely exhausted. It had been so long since Mordekaiser had felt the air on his skin. Or just felt his skin in general. His scroll dinged with a notification "Tomorrow I will be giving you a more in-depth tour of the facilities. PS: Remember to have a shower before you sleep." - Glynda Goodwitch. Right, humans developed an unpleasant smell if they didn't wash. Mordekaiser walked towards the bathroom and looked towards the mirror "You have got to be fucking kidding me." A quick glance was all it took to have Mordekaiser fuming. This was most definitely not correct. This had to be some sort of cosmic joke made to spite him. Why the hell was he female./p

She had used too much of her power trying to protect Morgana./p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="ea51fde170393de086a837a8ba87452b"Mordekaiser reached within striking distance of Kayle and brought Nightfall above his head.

Two lights appear at his sides, one orange, one purple. "Mordekaiser. Your judgement shall now begin." Mordekaiser falls through the floor. Once he reaches the ground the voice reaches out to him again "We will grant you life once more, a test, if you will. There will be no need to explain the terms, you will know once they are important."/p
p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; padding: 0px; color: #222222;" data-p-id="a65e6d2f058c1e28f81da6732f36660c"Mordekaiser finds himself on the edge of a forest.
