"So... what now?" Tali said. They were still standing in the main battery, where they'd finally said it out loud. It had hung in the air like a heavy blanket ever since the Geth Dreadnaught, and she'd finally decided to come up here and say it out loud.

Out loud, to her clueless, idiot turian, who she wouldn't give up for all the world. And it turned out, he hadn't been as clueless as she'd thought. That blanket had grown thicker and thicker and thicker since it first settled. Now, it was off, and the fresh air was so refreshing. As it turned out... they both wanted this.

"Well..." Garrus mused, mandibles flicking thoughtfully, eyes glinting in that way only his could. He stepped forwards, and took her hand in his own."Traditionally, I think I'm supposed to kiss the girl."

"Yes. And send me to the hospital." she told him, voice quaking with bemusement. He took her head with both hands, gently, lifting it, examining it, as if trying to peer in, humming thoughtfully.

"Hmmm. What to do then, what to do. How about..." he leaned in and gave a tiny kiss where her forehead would have been, "a peck on the helmet?"

She chuckled, looping her arms around his neck, pressing her forehead to his.

"You're an idiot, Garrus Vakarian." she told him affectionately. Her idiot, now.

"Thankfully, you have more than enough brains for the both of us." he commented, with one of those signature roguish turian smiles of his.

The doors to the room opened, and they both jumped apart as Commander Shepard froze, looking from one dextro to another, before grinning slyly.

"Well, well, well. What have we here?" she asked, green eyes glinting.

"C-comander, we um, uh..." the turian tried lamely. Tali felt her cheeks go hot.

"I'ts okay. No need to sound the fire alarm. I'm happy for you two. Frankly, I think everyone on the ship was gossiping about it." Garrus made a sort of squeaky noise, exchanging a glace with Tali. "Oh, come on; everyone could see it. Even Javik commented on it."

"Sorry Shepard, if I find it hard to believe Javik partaking in gossip of any kind." Garrus cleared his throat, trying to make light of the situation in order to cleave off some of the embarrassment.

"In fact, when Legion was here I think he said something about 'organic rituals of-'"

"SHEPARD!" both of them cried, causing her to laugh.

Just another day on the Normandy.

I ship these two SO HARD.

And there just isn't enough fluff about them out there. So, I did some myself. I felt the need to write a bit of ME fluff after finishing the third fic in my Destiny series, and the lack of Talibrations... concerns me.

Cheers!^^
