A fan of charismatic idol Kou Mukami tresspassed the later's residence, and while she did get enough time to explore the luxurious estate, she found more than she bargained for in the manor's nooks.
The idol lay, along with schoolmate Yui Komori and underclassman Subaru Sakamaki, dead in the cellar; all were stabbed once by the same silver knife in the heart.
Forensics found three different strenghts of stabbing on the bodies, which leads to the possibility that each person was killed by a different individual. However, Sakamaki's body was the most recent by 10 minutes, so it can be asumed he killed all three as well; the knife was his property, according to Sakamaki's half brother, Reiji.
There were several scars on the girl's body that looked like fanged bites particularily on the neck, shoulders, tighs and lips. As Sakamaki and Mukami's teeth were examined, it was determined that the older bites belonged to Sakamaki and the most recent were Mukami's, but there is no evidence of use of substance by any party that could have induced odd behaviors, which makes the biting intentional.
Komori had been chained to a wall at the singer and model's basement, after "not having been seen at school or our house for two days", according to Laito Sakamaki, Komori's classmate and one of Subaru's older half-brothers who lived with Yui and Subaru. "Subaru was here and didn't skip school, but they had always been togheter all the time for pretty long, so something seemed off."
Mukami is the main suspect of the kidnapping of Komori, whom Sakamaki might have attempted to rescue before he met his demise either at Kou's, Yui's or his own hands. How such a gorgeous idol could have commited a crime so foul as the kidnaping, assault and possible murder of a young woman and perhaps a young man, the tresspassing fan, who decided to remain anonymous, cannot explain. "He was always so nice to everyone! He often hung out with that girl; they seemed to be friends and often flirted... I don't understand how it ended up like this!"
The source also stated she was in the same class at the nocturnal school as Subaru once.
"He was hard to approach... he didn't really have friends besides Komori, and often got into pretty bad fights."
He would seem the most likely to commit a murder out of the three; however, the bite marks are a sign that maybe both Mukami and Sakamaki might have been doing a ritual which went awry, or were part of a vampiric cult which has been supposed to exist in this city for many years, again, without proof. Both Mukami and Sakamaki families refuse to talk about "such superstitions" and "bad-fame inductors", as Ruki Mukami, Kou's adoptive older brother, put it.
"Please let Kou have a dignified death and stop instigating the population to be wary, for it is unneeded." He adds. "I'm sure there is a reason for all of this, which is none of your concern". Komori's family has been missing from any records for almost a year.
