Fred's POV

"Yes, finally! My Gracie series is now COMPLETE!" Tina cackled evilly as she boasted to her friend Fred.

"Uh-huh. Whatever." Fred mumbled, staring into the distance.

"What are you looking at?" Tina asked.

"Nothing." Tina followed Fred's gaze to Labelle, the fancy porcupine who ran Gracie Grace.

"Oooh! You love Labelle!" Tina teased Fred. "Fred and Labelle sittin' in a tree!"

"No I don't. C'mon, let's go." Fred muttered.

Labelle's POV

I tried not to stare at Fred as he left the store, but I couldn't help it…he did always buy the boyish fashions from the store and he was always hip. I quickly averted my gaze to a new customer who was asking about a pair of tortoise shell glasses.

"Oh yes, those are just fabulous! Wow, it's hard to pull off an edgy accessory like that, but you have got it!" I repeated dully. I took the Bells that the customer was handing me and wrapped up a pair of glasses. My life was always the same, each day.

Fred's POV

Fred and Tina walked home from the bus stop together, and when Fred reached his house, he put down his new bathrobe from Gracie Grace and opened his blinking mailbox.

"Dear Fred, we here at Gracie Grace are having a fab sale for only the most hip customers! You are invited! Please be there and invite a date from the city!"

Labelle's POV

I can't believe I sent out those stupid invites out for the 'fab sale'. But Gracie had told me to promote the new Sweets Series. But a date from the city? Was I really that desperate? Fred would probably invite Harriet or Katrina. I sighed and headed into the back after locking up. Gracie was lounging in a soft recliner.

"Did you send out the invites?" Gracie asked lazily.

"Yes. People are sure to come." I whispered.

"Good!"

Fred's POV

Fred hesitantly got on the bus to the city. Kapp'n asked him the usual questions, but Fred didn't answer. He tentatively walked up to a yellow brick house wedged between Shampoodle and Katrina's place. He shyly rapped on the window. Labelle stuck her head up sleepily.

"Yes…?" Labelle asked drowsily.

"Um…would you go to the sale with me?" Fred asked.

"Sure…" Labelle mumbled.

"Thanks…" Fred said, and got back on the bus back home.
