This story takes place right around the time Elijah broke the promise to help the witches.

Caroline was buzzing around her room in search of her raspberry lip gloss, the perfect last touch to her outfit.

Earlier in the evening Tyler asked her to swing by the house for a chat well he didn't say that but that's what she was hoping for. He had basically ended their relationship to go gallivanting after Niklaus Mikaelson.

Tyler always had the best intentions, she reassured herself.

The witches peered around themselves in the dimly lit chamber, each and every one of them nervous about what was to come. There had been talks in the community that Sophie would summon them to the graveyard for a spell and here they were in the dark of the night with their life on the line every second that time went by.

Marcel wasn't the one to be played with and this would surely get them killed.

"Thank you all for coming here tonight you don't know how much appreciate this" Sophie said approaching everyone from the mist that hung over the grave yard. They could see a large book at her side as she came into view.

"How about you tell us what we're here for Sophie!" someone spoke up.

"As I informed you before the Original family has broken their promise to us. We cannot continue our quest for freedom without their help, so I believe I have a solution"

"What is that chile we no longer have the embryo as leverage?" an elder witch asked.

"That's where you're wrong we still have the child" It was dead silent "I still feel a bond to it and all we have to do is transfer that child to someone very important to the Originals more specifically Klaus"

The grin on her face, the determination in her eyes and the pieces laid out in front of them suddenly set everyone further on edge. They started to realize the cold; it never bothered any of them till now.

"You want us to take the child from the girl and give it someone else. That is entirely too dangerous" the same elder snapped.

"Yes but it was a worth a try. Trust me if we pull this off we will hold all the cards. Isn't this what you want, freedom from Marcel, this city and miserable life please don't turn your back on hope" Sophie begged.

"Who is this person that is so important?" someone else spoke out.

The first person that popped in their head was the doppelganger. That would give them the most leverage in the race for New Orleans against the vampires but the girl has proven too much trouble.

Fully ignoring the questions "Let us take hands"

They did as they were told. Too long were they shoved in a corner and neglected. It was time to rise above the vampires and take back what they helped built.

Sophie used a special powder to draw their seal on the cover of the book, murmuring inaudible words. She poured the blood from the vile out onto the book, placed a lock of hair down and a very expensive looking bracelet.

The witches joined Sophie in the chant; their voices grew louder over the gusting wind. The book flared up as the smoke took off into the air.

Caroline got out the car and bounded across the lawn, knocking on the door.

All of a sudden the blonde felt a sharp pain in her side but chose to ignore it waiting for someone to answer the door.

Another pain cut through her abdomen. She touched the spot with one hand and grabbed the door knob with the other. The vampire began to shake feverishly. A buzzing feeling ran up her spine and her knees buckled and it soon began to felt like there was something racing under her skin.

Caroline fell to the floor in agony. Not once letting out a cry of distress.

Haley was seated on a vintage couch in the Mikaelson living room. Elijah was seated across from her sprawled out reading a newspaper. It was weird to see such man with perfect posture who always wore a suit, seated so comfortably on a couch.

The sight made her smile.

It should have been him not Klaus

Meanwhile a fierce wind knocked the windows out leaving shards of glass on the wooden floor. Elijah jumped up and sped out of the room to go check on the ruckus. Haley looked up in confusion and saw the envelope the room.

The smoke began its attack on her, making her gag and dry heave. Suddenly she felt something warm under her.

Caroline was placed in the master room upstairs surrounded by her friends and family, all looking at her with concern.

A few hours ago, Tyler had informed them that Caroline was dying. They later found out that it was just a episode. She wasn't dying at all but she was something else.

She began to shake uncontrollably again, eyes rolling in the back of her head and her limbs just seem to snap in and out of place.

The machine that had tubes hooked into her arms let out a wailing sound.

"What the hell is wrong with her?" Damon coughed. That earned him a smack on his shoulder from Elena.
