Shift was finally over and I just wanted to get out of there and head to the little bar by my apartment building. On the way out the door Greg shouted "Sara." I turned to look at him and he said that the team was head to the bar for some drinks did I want to join them, I thought for a moment a decided I wanted the company after all so I agreed to go.

When I entered the bar they were all sitting around the table, I did a once over and did a sigh of relief no Grissom. I walked towards the table were everyone was already in a conversation so I settled in next to Greg and listened to what was being said. All of sudden I heard Catherine say " you actually decided to come that's a surprise," I slowly turned to see Grissom standing there with a very surprised look on his face.

That was enough for me. I downed my beer a stood to leave so the tension between us didn't ruin everyone's night. That's when Greg announced we were going to do karaoke.

He was the first one up and he did his rendition of " Born to be Wild."

Catherine sang " Black Velvet", which I noticed got Warrick's attention.

So when he stood up to sing I wasn't surprised to hear him start singing " Pop Lock and Drop it," and staring straight at Catherine, who was blushing.

Then Nick got up sang " Should have been a Cowboy," we all clapped and cheered and that is when everyone told me it was my turn. I didn't want to do it but something told me this might be the only way to get him to listen, so I stood up on stage and started singing:

When I was done I put the microphone down and looked straight at him wondering if he had even listened to me, to my surprise his head was hung looking towards the floor. I stepped down of the stage and walked towards the table everyone had their mouths dropped in awe, I grabbed my vest and said that I was going to leave.

As I was walking towards the door I heard Warrick say I didn't know Sara could sing like that and Greg chimed in and said she hit ever note perfect. I just smiled to myself and thought it didn't even hit the person that it was meant for, but it hit everyone else.

I was unlocking my car door when I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned around to see who it was and that's when his lips hit mine. When we pulled apart the whole team was standing there staring at us, we both just smiled. He leaned in and whispered in my ear " am I to late," I looked up him and kissed him with all I had when we pulled away the whole team was clapping and I said did you not listen to my song, he said every word.

We just stood there and I heard Catherine say he finally got his head out of the microscope, everyone laughed at that. Everyone back into the bar to leave us alone, he said do you want to come to my place.
