A/N - This poem is a bit of a hint at what will happen in the sequel to my story, The Mystical
Flowers of Morning. If you remember it, this will make sense. If you don't, or haven't read it,
this may not make much sense. The basic 411 is that Link loves a girl named Melody. When she
had sacrificed herself to save Zelda, she went with her mother into some place and returns to the
bach of Koholint every night. This tells, maybe just hints, at what will come.
Love is Only in My Dreams
That girl I had loved so much yet gave her up.
I never showed her how I cared, I never drank my bitter cup.
Did she love me as left?
The green light took her from the earth, from my grasp,
And when I think of her my troat begins to rasp.
Those painful times, those blessed times,
Her melody, my Melody, in her crystaline chimes.
-*-*-*-
If only I could see her face, a glimpse of that glorious star,
She wouldn't seem so lost, she wouldn't seem so far,
Away from me, my love is only in my dreams.
Love is only in my dreams at night,
Yet in the day while there is light,
I see her riding next to me.
Laughter high, whipping hair, only me will she see.
-*-*-*-
Life is not as it seemed
From the days of naive childhood that a hero was deemed.
At the beach, her family together
How I wish to join the laughter, share the smiles
On that sandy beach, we'd walk for miles
There is one way to bring her back
Yet there are things in which I lack
-*-*-*-
And if I saved her from this place
This girl whom I love, so full of grace
Would she still love me if I saved her, redeemed her?
Was I a fool to think she ever had that feeling,
The same one that I feel every night, reeling,
Her back to me? I only hope she will concur.
If only I can pay the price, for her.
