"Lilly! Come here please!" James Potter called to his wife, Lilly.
Lilly came up to James, holding their son, Harry. "Please tell me that it is not Halloween!" she said.
James pushed away his messy jet black hair away from his eye glasses. He looked at her over his glasses. "Yep," he said, smiling.
"Why are you so happy about it?" Lilly asked, putting the one year old in his crib.
"It is Harry's second Halloween!" James said, holding up a horribly sewn dragon costume.
Lilly laughed. "James, you are very funny." She picked up Harry. "I am gonna put Harry in his crib up-stairs. He needs to take a nap."
A few hours later.James and Lilly were playing with Harry when someone knocked on the door. "Why is someone knocking on our door?" Lilly asked, picking up Harry.
James laughed as he stood up and walked to the door. "It's probably Moony!" James opened the door. Except it was not Remus Lupin, it was Voldemort. "LILLY, TAKE HARRY UP-STAIRS NOW! HE'S HERE!" James ran into the living room and grabbed his wand. He walked back to Voldemort, and they started battling.
Meanwhile, Lilly and Harry were up-stairs and Lilly was telling Harry that she loved him. After five minutes, she heard someone scream. "JAMES!" she screamed. Suddenly she heard footsteps coming up the stairs. "I love you, Harry!" she said. "Mommy and Daddy love you!" The door opened. He stepped into the light to reveal-
"JAMES!" Lilly jumped up and hugged him. He pulled out of the hug.
"Here is your wand," he said smiling. He then changed his facial expression to a worried look. "We need to get out of here! Do you think," he touched her stomach, "you and the baby will be alright if we jump out of the window?"
"I hope," Lilly said, grabbing Harry, "because that's the only way that we can get out of here and to Sirius's!"
James went to the window and opened it. "I'll go down with Harry!" he said and took his son, who tried to grab the glasses off of his face. James jumped and used a spell to make his landing soft. Harry laughed as if he wanted it to happen again.
It was Lilly's turn. Just as she was about to jump, Voldemort came into the room and grabbed her. "At least one Potter will die tonight! And the mudblood is pregnant? Perfect!" Voldemort said. He raised his wand and started to say, "Avada Ked-" But Lilly said "Expelliarmus!" and his wand flew out of his hand. He went to go find it and that gave Lilly enough time to jump out of the window. Lilly caught up with James and Harry and ran to 12 Grimmauld Place.
--Well that was hectic! Thanks for reading everyone! Sorry if it makes no sense how James was able to get up to his wife without Voldemort noticing.
