Slytherin lament
Basically a song that contains the resentment and anger the Slytherins feel towards the Gryffindors. Warning: contains some bad rhyming. Please R&R, but no flames please!
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. Who do I look like, JKR?
Note: FYI, I'm a Ravenclaw, not a Slytherin (at least I think I am) but that doesn't mean that I can't get annoyed with the Gryffindors
Verse
Whenever we say we don't like Muggles, you always raise a fuss
And yet it's still totally okay for you to hate us?
You get mad that we think Hagrid is a giant furry ape
But you get away when you say you hate Professor Snape?
Chorus:
It's nice to have something to blame when people are dyin'
It's always the serpents, never blame the lions
And every Slytherin walking by you see
Is just another evil little Death-Eater-to-be
So what if we're ambitious? So what if you're brave?
What about Pettigrew? What about Snape?
Verse:
Your courage is so great you can reach the sky
(And yet you ignore the fact that it causes people to die?)
You say we break rules just because we think it's fun
Half the House has broken fewer rules than the Chosen One!
Chorus
Verse:
'Ev'ry Slytherin goes evil, that's why they're so scary'
Crabbe destroyed a Horcrux, Narsissa saved your dear Harry
Riddle never stole the sword, though he got crown, locket and cup
Maybe he didn't want to connect with those who are stuck-up?
Chorus
Verse:
You're always the best at everything, you always have to win
And when we have some glory, you see it as a sin
You say our evil's so clear, so sharp and so stark
Maybe it's simply because we aren't afraid of the dark!
Chorus:
It's nice to have something to blame when people are dyin'
It's always the serpents, never blame the lions
And every Slytherin walking by you see
Is just another evil little Death-Eater-to-be
So what if we're ambitious? So what if you're brave?
What about Pettigrew? What about Snape?
