MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE FINALE. DO NOT READ IT YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT.- as much as I wish I did I do not own Bones!

"I'm pregnant, and you're the father." She spoke the words, she had this feeling in stomach that Booth and Angela would call 'butterflies' but it felt more like knifes then butterflies. She almost nauseous on how he was going to take this, what if he walked out just like anyone else in her life had? She looked him in the eyes. His face seemed blank, no emotion, and no expression. Nervousness bubbled up higher and higher inside of her.

Finally a smile broke up onto Booth's face. Relief washed over Brennan. Booth slipped his arms around her waist and at the same time she wrapped hers around his neck and he picked her up and swung her around. It was like one of the scenes from a movie, one of those sappy romantic movies that had you in tears by the end.

He finally put her down, the smile hadn't lessened on his face one bit. "We're going to be parents, parents, Bones. I'm so happy!" He told her, his hands falling from her waist into her hands, they interlaced their fingers.

"Are you sure you happy about this Booth?" rising insecurities coming up for Brennan. 2 years ago this is what she had wanted, a baby. But wanting and getting were definitely two separate things. Wanting came with desire and excitement; getting came with apprehensiveness and fear of what was left unknown. She had wanted a baby, but now that she was getting a baby, she didn't know what exactly she was feeling.

"Bones, are you kidding me of course I want this, why would you say such thing?"

Brennan looked down at the ground and at their interlaced hands. "You said Angela and Hodgins were living the happiest day of their lives because they got a healthy baby and because they are in love. But we're not together Booth, not dating, not married. We're not even in love." Brennan knew the last part was lie but didn't want to open herself even more then she already was.

Booth sighed, "Bones, that night it wasn't just a rush of hormones. It was more than that, okay? I love you and that night I proved it to you. I'm going to be here every step of the way okay? Whether it's as a couple, as friends, I am going to be here okay? You can choose. I won't ever leave you, not even if you try to make me go. I would never abandon my child or you. You trust me right, Bones?"

"Yes, I trust you with my life." She whispered.

"Then trust me with your heart. Trust me when I tell you I love you and that I won't leave you. Trust me when I said 30 or 40 or 50 years I meant it. Trust me when I say we're going to great parents and we can do this. Just trust me okay?"

Brennan looked up into his Brown eyes. With softness in her voice she spoke the words that were all Booth wanted to hear. "Okay, I trust you. I trust you…"

Booth took a step towards her and brought on of their linked hands up to her face and slowly leaned in until their lips touched. It wasn't like their first kiss with alcohol in their breath, of their mistletoe kiss, or their kiss full of sadness and desire and want. This kiss was everything, how much they cared for each other; this kiss marked the beginning of the end.

When they finally pulled apart, gasping for air Brennan quietly whispered "I love you."

Booth squeezed her hand and looked at her "and I love you."

After a few quite moments Brennan has just two more thing to ask, "Booth?"

"Yes, baby?"

"Can we keep this between you and I? Just for now? Can we do this together, as a couple?"

Booth had never been happier to hear those words come out of her mouth. "Together. Yes, what's between us is ours."

With that he reached down and brushed his lips with hers once again.
