Yaaay, Day 9 of the 100 Day Drabble Challenge! This is based on this picture: art/Eternal-Summer-Slacking-318695543 (Eternal Summer Slacking by xNoWherex) which is based on The Way by Fastball. I may actually turn this into a story. For now, though, it'll be in the challenge.
"Where the fuck are we?"
"Well, we're on the road to adventure."
"You know what the fuck I mean, McCormick."
Craig Tucker sat on the hood of Kenny McCormick's beat-up truck with a cigarette and a glare. Kenny laid on his back behind Craig, looking at a map. The summer sun beat down on their heads and baked their fair skin nice and red. Over the course of their road trip, the sun had bleached Kenny's blond hair and turned Craig's dark mop a light brown.
The two lovers had embarked on a trip the day after school let out. They were going to spend their last summer before college traversing the country, seeing and doing whatever they pleased. Eternal summer slacking, Kenny had called it. Craig had called it an excuse to get away from his stupid fucking family.
At the present moment, the boys were pulled over on the side of a desert road somewhere in New Mexico. Their tire had gone flat, but neither one knew how to fix it. So they'd called a tow truck that wasn't set to come until the next morning. The boys were passing the time by smoking and talking, though Kenny was the one doing most of the talking. Craig took care of the smoking part.
"You gonna quit smoking anytime soon, Craigy?"
"Don't fuckin' call me that. And no."
"What if I withheld your cigs?"
"What if I withheld sex?"
"Touche."
There was a pause in banter before Kenny piped back up.
"You wouldn't really refuse me sex, right? Because that's just cruel."
"...No, I wouldn't. That's mostly for my benefit though. To hell with you."
"You're coming with me."
Kenny smirked and leaned up to kiss Craig. He pulled back after a few minutes and mumbled, "Think they let you have sex in hell?"
Craig returned the smirk. "I think that's in the rules somewhere."
"How about we call this hell?"
"Get in the cab, McCormick. We only have so much time before the tow truck gets here."
