Prologue
They say that every few thousand years, the Onyx comet orbits around the earth. And when it does, two young teenage elves will fall in love. But thats just what I have heard anyways.
When it does (IF it does) appear in the night sky, everything goes completely black. Not the ordinary black, but the empty, lifeless black. Then, there is a bright green flash and you can see the comet. The sky is completely a dark emerald green, but the earth is still shrouded in darkness. From the stories I have heard, the comet shouldn't be called Onyx. Should be something more like Myst or something. Its green, teal, and lavender, but oh well.
It stays in the sky for just a week. During that week, the sun never comes out, it's just dark with the green sky.
For the falling in love part, two elves, a male and a female of the same age, have to look at the comet at the same time. No matter where they are, they will form a connection and will somehow find a way to meet each other. And when they meet, they will want to stay together forever. But the thing is, if they are separated for too long, they will die a slow, painful death. Ehh... But I guess thats just a story.
