Oblivious
I sigh, staring at him from across the room. I can't help but stare as he talks to Pansy. Stop it, Hermione, or someone's going to find out. And we can't let that happen. He frowns as Pansy continues to speak, her hands clutching his arm and trying to put her head on his shoulder.
But he doesn't allow it. Pulling his arm away, he says something to her, then resumes writing. He slowly turns his head to look at me, and winks. Room of Requirement. Ten thirty. He mouths.
We can only meet in secret. There's too much prejudice in the world to let our relationship continue. He's a Slytherin, and I'm in Gryffindor. His family is Pureblooded, and far too arrogant about it, and I'm a muggleborn, or a mudblood, as some like to call it. His family supports Voldemort; he will have to get the Dark Mark soon, and I fight for the light with Harry and Ron and the Order of the Phoenix.
So you see, my relationship with Draco Malfoy has to stay a secret. If his father found out… I shudder to think what would happen. Bad things, I know. But we're careful, and we'll be together as long as possible. Until he becomes a Death Eater. Until I have to fight against him.
But right now, we forget those things. We don't worry about what's to come. And we're thankful that our friends are so bloody oblivious.
A/N: So this is my first chapter for my Random Worded Oneshots. There will be more pairings, and if you have someone you'd like me to write about, just leave it in the comments. I'm open to all pairings, although not all of these chapters will be romance.
