He was quite; he didn't talk much and kept whatever opinions he had to himself.
People would talk about him at lunch. They would call him names, ignored his questions, pushed him away and made him an island. They couldn't take his intense gaze, those beautiful turquoise eyes.
He would sit at the back in the corner and I would turn back and look at him from time to time.
He had hair the colour of fire and skin as pale as snow. True enough he was standoffish and had a temper and wouldn't let anyone get close to him.
Until me.
He let me in to his secret world and showed me the beautiful person he was. His smile took away all the pain, his touch made me feel alive. We were happy when we came together but out happiness didn't last long.
It wasn't long until they came for me, saying I betrayed them for the freak, the stone. They would say such mean things and I cried for them to stop but it was in vain.
After a time my resolve weakened and I became and coward and left. I left him all aloneā¦
I don't see him in class anymore; I don't see him in the hall or walking home. He's not here anymore.
It's all my fault.
I'm what killed him in the end. It was the abandonment.
I killed him and now he's repaying the favour.
