Tony Stark is many things. He is a philanthropist, genius, and a playboy, rich, and many more. But one thing many might not know about him is that is not a coward. He will never run away from his responsibilities. He came back to take over the company when he was just 21 years old, and brought the name 'Stark' into a whole new level. He did not run away from responsibilities, and sure he had one-night stand but he made sure that the girl knew about it. He made sure that it was just a sex and nothing more, and many girls knew about it. They just wanted the bragging rights that, but one girl was different.
He had met her in one of the bars he frequently visited, and saw her sitting a drink idly in her hand. Tony had met many beautiful people in his lifetime, but he never met someone who had the most beautiful blue gray eyes he seen. It seemed to change according to what she felt, and Tony was fascinated by with. With her pale skin, dark hair, and a hour-glass body, she was everything Tony wanted.
After a few mindless flirtation, it was clear to Tony that she is British and was running from something. She wanted a distraction, and Tony willingly wanted to help her. A few drinks more which leads them to bed, Tony wakes up to find her gone, and somewhere in his heart, he is hurt by it.
A week later, he sees her again in the same place and the same thing happens again. This time, she stays and tells him she is leaving. She kisses him one last time, as if it will be her last time, and looks at him with sad eyes. "Thank you Tony," she whispers.
He will never run away from anything, so after almost a year later, he finds a new born child on his footsteps. Technically JARVIS altered him so its the AI who finds the baby first. And Tony knows exactly who is the mother when the baby girl opens her blue-grey eyes to him.

Her name is Iris Maria Stark. I can't keep her with me, so you have to take care her of her. I am so sorry to do this to you, and I am so sorry that she will never know her mother. Tell her when she is old enough that I will always love her, and if it was possible I would have done everything and anything for her.
Cassandra
The note was tucked in her basket, and when Tony looks at her daughter again. He had done the parental test with JARVIS's help, and indeed Iris is his daughter. A surge of protective feeling overcomes him, and that shocks him so much. He lifts his baby again in his arm, and when she looks at him and gives him a big smile, he knows that this little girl will always come first now.
He will not become like his father, and give everything to his baby.
