Prologue

At the age of six, no one knows what love really is.

-

InuYasha had been playing at the park about a block away from his house. He was right in the middle of a fight, with his best friend Miroku, over who would get the swing when he saw her. After a second of gazing at her, he was pinned to the ground. Miroku, noticing what InuYasha was staring at, started laughing.

"What's so funny?" Said an angry InuYasha.

Still laughing Miroku answered, "He He. You are. He he. Wait I know, you're in love aren't you?"

"NO!"

"InuYasha and … um … someone sitting in a tree K-I-S-."

Miroku wasn't able to finish his song on account that InuYasha was now on his head. Even though Miroku was struggling for air, InuYasha couldn't help but think about the girl he had just seen. Her short black hair was slightly windblown. She seemed to be looking for something with her beautiful brown eyes. It was those eyes that had captured him. For some reason InuYasha couldn't seem to stop thinking about them. (Oh yeah. Miroku finally got free.) He couldn't wait to tell his mom about the girl he saw. That day he made a promise to find the owner of those eyes.

It had been ten years since InuYasha had seen those eyes. He still remembered the promise he made. He would find out who owned those captivating eyes.
