Love the Darkness

Yet another SasuNaru poem written from Naruto's point of view. Warning: angsty, implied yaoi (of course), and Sasuke still being a bastard and not returning to Naruto yet.

Disclaimer: Does it look like I own Naruto? Does the show have: Sasuke and Naruto as a couple, the Uchiha massacre never happened because Itachi never killed them, the Fourth Hokage alive and fighting, and Sakura either: a.) less annoying and fangirling b.) a SasuNaru fangirl c.) Dead. Does it? *looks over the Naruto storyline* hn, I guess it doesn't.

Year after year

I long for your touch,

For you to hold me,

Protect me from the pain;

Yet you disappeared,

Breaking off the bonds of

Everything you once held dear,

Including me;

You left me behind to defend myself

From all of the hatred

That I once learned to deal with

When you were by my side;

Now I mourn alone,

Waiting for your return,

Yet I know deep down inside

That you will never come back;

I chase after you,

Determined to rescue you

From yourself

And from the darkness;

As the darkness swallows you whole,

I call out your name

In hope that you are not too far gone

To hear me;

For far too long

You have been out of reach,

Slipping through my fingertips

Every time I try to save you;

No matter what though,

I will be with you,

So I will follow you

Into the dark.
