Escape.
That was the one thing on Byakuya's mind at that moment.
It had been a very busy week for the captain; Ichigo kidnapped Prince Shuu, Yachiru was using the secret room in his manor to hold club meetings, and he had a mountain of paper work to complete. Yet none of that mattered right now. He needed to get away from it all, he needed to escape.
He waited for night to fall, for that was the best time to leave Seireitei unnoticed. He could have left in broad daylight; surely no one would question his motives, but where's the fun in that? Instead he chose to leave at night. It felt more nostalgic that way.
He made his way across a restless Seireitei; quickly flash stepping from building to building. Utilizing all the techniques Yoruichi had taught him he headed south, past Rukongai, into the forest.
When you entered the heart of the forest there was a pond. A simple pond that glowed silver in the moonlight, with weeping willows that hung down and rippled the surface. The scent of pond lily's surrounded him.
He calmly sat at the water's edge, gazing out into the crystal clear water. The sight put his mind at ease, made him forget his troubles and relax. This place was what kept him sane.
As he sat, silently drinking in the scene, the sun slowly raised, claiming its place in the sky. This was his queue to return to the fast pace, hectic, world of the noble captain. He stood and gazed one last time at the now pond. The silvery sheen had been replaced by fiery red, brining the memories back.
Byakuya use to bring Hisana to this place.
It was his Utopia.
