I'm really sorry for the long hiatus, and I really don't have any excuse...T.T

BUT! One of my New Year's resolutions is to try and upload at least one thing every week!

So by many requests, I decided to start off with a short Xanxus x Cindi oneshot~

Enjoy and review~

Also, I'm thinking of starting a reader-requested KHR x Reader oneshot series, so please request characters!

Thank you!~

Cindi stormed into the office. "Why aren't you at the hospital?"

Xanxus looked up at her from his chair. "Why should I be at the hospital?"

Cindi raised her eyebrows. "Because you're an injured patient who ran away from the hospital."

Xanxus snorted and closed his eyes. "I'm fine, fucking woman."

Cindi punched Xanxus's head. "No cursing. And what are you talking about? 'Not injured'? Don't lie to me."

She drew her hand back and slapped Xanxus's side.

Xanxus, not expecting the hit, hissed in pain and doubled over. "The hell?"

Cindi punched Xanxus's head again. "I said no cursing."

Xanxus rubbed the top of his head and glared up at Cindi as he muttered, "That wasn't a curse…"

Cindi ignored him. "So that proves that you're injured! So shut up and get your ass back to the hospital."

Xanxus raised an eyebrow. "Ass?"

Cindi stuck her hands on her hips. "What? I can't say ass?"

Xanxus wisely chose not to comment on the obvious example of hypocrisy.

Cindi sighed and dropped her arms from her hips. "Come on Xanxus. At least tell me why you won't go back."

Xanxus just shrugged and didn't say anything.

A vein on Cindi's forehead pulsed in anger as she crossed her arms in anger. "Alright, you're going back, no matter what, even if I have to drag you!"

Xanxus, finally annoyed, opened his eyes to glare at her. "Okay, how about this. You shut up and take care of me instead of the useless trashes at the hospital."

Cindi shot evil eyes back at him. "I can't do that because I'm not a certified doctor like the so-called "useless trashes" who actually HAVE medical licenses!"

Xanxus shrugged. "Makes no difference. Belphegor performed surgery on one of Squalo's subordinates and HE doesn't have a license."

Cindi stared at Xanxus with disbelief. "Belphegor's a GENIUS. And did Squalo's subordinate survive the procedure?"

Xanxus didn't say anything.

Cindi snorted. "Thought so."

Xanxus sighed. "Don't you have work to do for the Wafia sky trash?"

Cindi gritted her teeth, but she couldn't say anything.

Not when Xanxus was right.

She straightened and glared at him. "Don't think that this is over."

With that, she spun around and marched stiffly out of Xanxus's office.

Xanxus gave a tired sigh and stared at the door as he muttered something softly.

"Because when I'm there, I can't see you whenever I want to. Idiot."
