Just Being A Girl Drabbles One- Not Your Doormat

Sam Manson rolled her eyes. Her boyfriend, Ben, was lying about cheating on her. She had seen him kissing another girl, and it was a KISS, it looked like he was trying to pull her tonsils out with his tongue. That was not a "brotherly kiss" as he had put it.

Ben put his hands in the air. He looked at her with an innocent glance, "I didn't do anything with her. Michelle and I are just friends, she had had a bad day, and was looking for comfort. She was one of my best friends last year. Nothing happened. I'm still your boyfriend, don't be jealous, and don't assume things, Sammy."

He gave her a lovesick puppy dog look. Sam stifled a temptation to gag herself.

"Look, Ben. I understand. You like Michelle a lot, and you like me too. But guess what? You're being an idiot."

"Thanks a lot, Sam. Thanks. Now come on, it was just one lousy 'feel better' kiss. Can't you get over that? What am I supposed to think about all the rumors that go on about you and Inviso- Bill?" His eyes narrowed.

"Those are RUMORS, Ben. Not real truths, you know you can trust me. You on the other hand, I can't trust. I don't even know if you liked me, or just wanted a girl you could kiss, and call your own. But I'm better than that, and I deserve better. I deserve someone who won't cheat on me, with they're 'best friend from last year'. I doubt that's even true. How long have you two been dating? And does she know that we're dating?" Sam's cool attitude was as apparent as ever.

Ben was sweating, his face was red, and his narrowed eyes were now darting around nervously, as if he was looking for a way out.

"So, how long, Benny Boy? How long? As you probably guessed it's over. And as you probably guessed it's over with Michelle too." Sam said, stepping aside, to show a pretty black haired girl, who looked like she might kill Ben.

"You said I was the only one for you? You said that Sam was just you're 'best friend from last year'? I'm gonna kill you!" She bared her teeth, like a dog.

Ben began to back up, then ran off, with Michelle chasing him.

Sam rolled her eyes, and turned around, and bumped right into someone, "Oh, oops. Sorry. Hey, what?" She looked around suspiciously, no one was there. She rolled her eyes, "How long have you been there, Danny?"

A boy materialized in front of her. "Not that long." He shrugged, and grinned. "I thought you might need a friend. Breaking up is hard." He blushed slightly, but only slightly. He couldn't admit how happy he was that she and Ben had finally broken up.

"Actually, I feel great. Ben seemed to be just a friend the whole time. We didn't even kiss! He was just a way for me to get over y- someone else." It was Sam's turn to blush, she knew she'd liked Danny through the whole dating Ben thing. But, she couldn't admit that to Danny.

"Up for a flight?" He asked, putting his arm around her.

"You know flights are my favorite. Let's go!" Sam grinned at her best friend. He wasn't her boyfriend, but it was close.

Neither of the teens knew that the other felt the same way.

Clueless.

But, honestly… Aren't we all?
