((A/N: My 8th story! - Well, not exactly story.. Actually, it's just a short drabble I came up with. It's slightly KyoxHaru, like most of my Fruits Basket fictions.. And I know that the whole 'Mother' subject is extremely overused, but I just love writing angsty stories about peoples' moms! (don't ask me why)

Well, here it is!))

Headstone Conversations

"Hey.." He whispered to the silent headstone. He had no idea why he was whispering, since no one was close enough to hear him speak, but he whispered nonetheless. "I know you never liked me much, but I just thought you might like a visitor today.." He smiled sadly and crouched down to the the stone's level. "I'd just like to say.. That I don't blame you.. You know, for leaving me alone.." He trailed off as the cool fall freeze blew his bright orange locks in all directions. "I know everyone said it wasn't possible, but I found a person that actually wants to love me.. Despite what zodiac animal I may be.." He sighed. "You remember Hatsuharu, right?"

As the sun began to set behind the trees, he finally rose to leave. "I'm sorry.." He spoke, voice slightly cracking. "I know that if I wasn't here you'd still be alive.. And I know that you tried your best to raise me, as if I were a normal child.." As he walked away, he muttered, "And that's why I still love you, Mom.."

((A/N: It didn't come out as nice as it sounded in my head, but that always happens!

Please review and tell me what you thought!))
