The snow began to fall outside that night as she and Patrick watched their children ride the carousel. She was so thankful that she had a safe delivery, healthy baby and was well enough to attend this brief outing. It wasn't everyday that a carousel is sitting in the streets of Poplar, after all. The snow made this moment even more beautiful, but concern started to fill within her because she didn't want Teddy to get cold.

"I think that I should head inside with Teddy, I don't want him to get too cold" she told Patrick

"I'll come with you" he replied as he scooped the baby out of Shelagh's arms and into his own so she could get up. He cradled the baby in one arm and extended the other to help Shelagh out of the chair. One she got up, they walked over to the front door to see Sister Julienne standing there alone watching the others ride the carousel. When they walked up on the front porch, Sister Julienne redirected her attention to them.

"Is everything alright?" she asked

"We were just wondering if we could come inside, with the snow I don't want Teddy to get too cold" Shelagh answered

"Of course you can come in you are always welcome" said Sister Julienne

Sister Julienne opened the door, they all walked inside and went straight to the dining room. Shelagh sat at the table and Patrick sat in the chair next to her.

"Would you like some tea and biscuits?" asked Sister Julienne

"That would be great" Patrick replied

"I'll put the kettle on then" she said

Once the tea was ready and the biscuits were on the table, Sister Julienne walked over to where Patrick was sitting and asked

"May I hold him so you can have tea and biscuits?"

"Yes you may" he replied as he turned to her and extended his arms so she could grab Teddy. She went to the chair directly across from them and sat down with the child in her arms.

"How is he sleeping?" she asked them

"He wakes up about every two hours, sometimes less, sometimes more" Shelagh replied

"That is unfortunately normal for a newborn, which you already know" Sister Julienne said

"I am thankful that Patrick is able to have the next few days off so we can let each other get some rest" Shelagh stated

They heard the front door open and footsteps walking towards the dining room. The figure that came out of the darkness of the hall was revealed to be Sister Monica Joan.

"The carousel was quite exhilarating" she declared as she sat in the chair beside Sister Julienne.

"Did you have fun?" Sister Julienne asked

"Yes I did" she answered

"Hello Sister Monica Joan, how are you?" Patrick said

"I am doing well, just curious of why you all are inside while everyone else is out there" she said

"Patrick and Shelagh did not want the baby to get cold, so we decided to come inside where it is warm" Sister Julienne answered

Sister Monica Joan looked over at the boy and asked, "May I hold the child?"

"Yes you can" replied Shelagh

Sister Julienne passed the baby over to Sister Monica Joan. She looked at the baby and smiled as she said

"He is quite adorable"

"Thank you" Patrick replied

After a moment of silence, Sister Monica Joan smiled and added "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee*, says the Lord"

"Yes He did" Shelagh said with a smile across her face

"Indeed" Sister Julienne added

Sister Monica Joan had said some pretty eccentric things at times, but in this moment she had brought so much comfort to her in that moment and reminded her how God had blessed her life and thanked Him for it.
