A/N: so everyone I had the nice idea to translate one of the poems of one of my two favorite poets to English and post it up with one of my own. The theme of the two poems is a bit similar…
Disclaimer: I don't own 'The Death's relative', it belongs to Endre Ady, but the poem 'Brother' is mine and nobody else's…
"I'm the Death's relative,
I like the vanishing love,
I like to kiss the ones,
Who is leaving.
I like the sick roses,
Blooming away if they are longing, the women,
The gloomy, sad
Autumn-days.
I like the sad hours
Ghostly, lecturing calls,
The Great Death, the holly Death's
Playful double.
I like the ones traveling away,
The crying ones and the awakening,
And on icy-rainy, cold dawns
The fields.
I like the tired giving ups,
The tearless crying and the peace,
Wises, poets, ills
Shelter place.
I like the ones who are disappointed
Who is hurt, who stopped,
Who doesn't believe, who is darkened,
The World.
I'm the Death's relative
I like the vanishing love,
I like to kiss the one
Who is leaving."
