I'm with you

A/N:
I've never written a song fic before…here it goes….Selphie stood on a bridge near Balamb. Waiting.
Three hours had passed but still she stood there, waiting.
The street light she stood under flickered, made a pop sizzle noise, then burnt out.
"Great", she mumbled, "Could it get any worse?"
It started to rain. She shook her tiny fist at the sky.
She sighed and started pacing.
I'm standing on a bridge
I'm waiting in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now
There's nothing but the rain
No footsteps on the ground
I'm listening but there's no sound
A familiar looking car came closer. Selphie brightened up but it just whizzed by.
It looked like Irvine and Quistis in the car, but she could have been mistaken.
She sat on one of the wet planks of wood of the bridge and shivered as she pulled her jacket tight and started to cry.
Isn't anyone trying to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
---------------------------------------------
Irvine stumbled into the wrong dorm room yet again. This time he was greeted by Seifer.
"Where's messenger girl?"
"Who?" he plopped onto the couch.
"Your girlfriend" he was starting to sound nonplussed.
"Quistis is in her room." He hiccuped.
"What happened to Selphie?" he grabbed Irvine's lapels in a feeble attempt to get him to stand up.
"Who?"
"The hyperactive pixie girl!!!"
"Oh, damn I was schaposed ta picker up wernt I?"
"Probably"
"Psht … too drunk now." He laughed.
"Where were you supposed to pick her up from cowboy?" he sounded very upset as he shook Irvine like a rag doll.
"A bridge thing … er uhh Balamb."
"Oh gods, that's one of the most dangerous places in Balamb." He threw Irvine at the couch. "You puke in here, you die."
And Seifer ran out.
--------------------------------------------------
Selphie sang to keep her mind off of things.
I'm looking for a place
Searching for a face
Is anybody here I know
'Cause nothing's going right
And everything's a mess
And no one likes to be alone
Selphie got quiet, she could hear someone coming toward her.
She looked around the support beam that was acting as a windbreak. She squinted, hoping to see faces of people she knew.
'Crap, they saw me' she thought.
They headed toward her. One of them pulled out a switch blade knife. She curled into a little ball and tried to look like the rest of the bridge (it didn't work she was wearing a yellow jacket)
Some one touched her. She closed her eyes tighter. After a few minutes she opened an eye. No one was around her, she opened the other eye. She saw a man pocketing his new switchblade and butterfly knives. He reached out a hand to help her up.
"There's still time to catch a movie and have some dinner before they won't let us back into garden for the night. If you're interested"
""But Irvine said he'd come." She whimpered.
"That jack ass doesn't deserve you, besides he's in no shape to drive."
"I'd love to have dinner with you"
They smiled and she took his hand.
Take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I, I'm with you
A/N:
here is a meaningless piece of fluff I wrote at work…as my loyal readers (all three of them) can tell I like Seifer and Selphie.
