Italy!...Italy!

He ran through the white void, where there was no up or down and no end. Vertigo built in his stomach, making him dizzy, but he pushed it down as he continued to run through the everlasting white. "It can't really go on forever can it?" A lone figure stood in the emptiness, a figure whose colours shone so intensely in the white. Italy. Germany's mind was set on one thing; something he couldn't explain no matter how hard he tried to fathom it; get to Italy. He didn't know why his mind and body were so desperate to reach the cowardly Italian, but he kept going on anyway.

Gray. Gray was such an ugly colour. He had been running for a very long time now. He didn't know exactly how long, for time seemed to be nonexistent from the start. Nonexistent. As his colours were quickly becoming. Germany had never really thought much of colour but now he was starting to realize how much he liked it. He didn't know how much longer he had before he became completely monochrome and the white embrace claimed him. He kept running. For the intensity of Italy's colours had never faded.

"italy!…ITALY!"

He didn't care that he was completely free of colour when he finally reached him, his timeless journey was over.

"Ita…ly…"

His breath was ragged, and he was exhausted. Italy said nothing.

The silence seemed to stretch on for an eternity, until finally, italy spoke.

"You are…"

Italy seemed to look him over with an air of curiosity.

"Mr. Holy Roman Empire?"

Germany's eyes opened, and he realized he had been dreaming. 'No surprise really, nothing that strange could actually exist…" But even though he tried to sleep, he couldn't help wondering who Holy Roman Empire was.

AN: I literally have no idea where this came from. but here it is. I'll continue this, but I'm a professional procrastinator so don't expect any kind of update schedule. sorry for the surreal-ness and lack of quality! :D
