VT: Okay, my first One-shot to be written, the inspiration came from finished the final steps of making my first story complete. So, I hope you enjoy this one-shot.

What is Left to Do?

Samuel Hawkins stared out the Pokemon Center window that was over the desk of his room. He sighed as he could see just side of the Pokemon Stadium, and the end of the Indigo Plateau completion.

He only signed and looked around the room. He had dreamed of that moment for a long time, six years he had persisted in his dream and goal, and now…. Now what?

He blew into his brown hair and reminded himself that he should have gotten a haircut before the competition, but he was always off training, even in the middle of the night he had trained. All for that final battle, that final few seconds that would define his dream and if he was worth the effort. He won. He was the Indigo League champion for this year, and what now? Defending his title? Always coming back the next year and the next? He didn't like the sound of that.

For a moment he wondered if he should go off to Hoenn and compete there, or maybe the Orange Islands, but he knew that the spark was gone, he had nothing more to do, he could start again, but no, that wouldn't be right, nor the same. He sighed and looked down at the desk; there was a world map along with notes written in his own hand about where to go next. He felt as if winning had become his greatest curse instead of the blessing that he had hoped for. For a brief second he wondered if pulling his own Ninetales tail would free him from this next decision. He only shook his head again, that was running from the problem, and he didn't run from a problem.

For the next three hours he paced the room, deep in though, pausing only to feed his Pokemon Team, a Ninetales, Dragonite, Jolteon, Blastoise, and finally a Furret. He had worked hard on creating the perfect team, or his own way of battling, within regulations of course, but this team was his best, and he knew that it would never be the same again. Finally, he threw up his arms and threw himself onto the bottom bunk. He didn't even bother to get into any Pajamas or get under the covers, he only stared at the bottom of the top bunk, finally around two in the morning he fell asleep unable to keep awake any longer.

The new dawn awoke the troubled teen and as he yawned he felt strangely refreshed, as well as a new sense of a purpose, he had had a strange dream, a dream where he had been in steaming jungles, and freezing mountains, and a volcano, but it was fading and he couldn't remember what he was searching for. He walked over to his map and saw a new piece of paper, a small message written on it, he didn't read it, for on his map where red marks, almost like the letter x. He saw that one was in a nearby volcano in an archipelago off the western coast of Kanto; another one was in the sea foam islands, and others were in different regions. He smiled and looked around the room, he had a new purpose, a new goal, and one that would be a challenge even for his strong team, and he didn't know if it was a challenge given to every new champion or what. But he was folding the map and putting away all his notes, as well as making a mental note to gather a new notebook so he could try and find out more on his new goal.

The note had sunlight shinning on it before he picked it up and put it into his backpack. The note read as follows. So, you think you are finished? Then come and catch us if you can, you may think you are at the top of your game, but think again, come and catch us if you can.
