Hello people of the Internet! I have edited this chapter (and will hopefully add more to the story) while I am trying to write and edit the rest. Thanks!
This is just a fluffy one shot. Please no hateful reviews, just doing something for my readers while Donnie's Sickness is on hold. But anyway, just some brother fluff, and I hope you like it! Oh, by the way, the turtles are probably about 11 or 12 in this.
Disclaimer: Even though I know 99.99 out of 100 people won't see this, I have to say I do not own Ninja Turtles.
Donatello did not appreciate being sick. It sucked. Big time. Not only did it make him feel horrible, but his brothers could get a little overprotective some times, which was overbearing and a bit embarrassing. But his brothers were at the end of Don's worry list right now; he did not have the energy to get out of bed. This flu was really hitting him hard this year... But then again, it tended to hit him hard every year.
He wanted to work on his laptop he recently built, and he wanted to experiment with it. But he was stuck in bed because he couldn't even lift his own head! Even now, when he just woke up from a nap, he couldn't move at all!
Being the bigger bro (and the very worried one), Leonardo walked in with a bottle of water, some Tylenol, and a thermometer to check Don's temperature. Honestly, he was surprised Don was still in bed. Donnie would usually try to get out of bed and work on something, weakening his immune system even more.
"Hey Don, can I take your temperature?" Leo asked, frowning slightly. "Master Splinter wanted to know if it was any lower."Yeah, sure whatever," Donnie said, nuzzling deeper into his covers.
Leo put his hand on Don's forehead and noticed that it was hotter than when he last checked. He was eventually able to get the thermometer in Donnie's mouth, and it turns out his temp had risen to about 102. It was only about 101 this morning.
Leo was quite worried for Donnie. Sure, Don could take care of his self, but he hadn't been this sick since when he was younger.
"Can you take this medicine Don? It will help you feel better," he said, breaking the slightly awkward silence
"Mmmkay," Don said, obediently taking the medicine and falling asleep right after
During that short span of time, Master Splinter had managed to sneak quietly into the room. "How is he doing, my son?" he asked, startling Leonardo.
"He's getting worse, Sensei," Leo said, sighing. There was a small pause before Leo spoke again. "I hope he'll be alright."
"He will be my son, but for now you should get some rest," Master Splinter said. "We do not need more than one sick turtle in the house."
"Hai, Sensei," Leo said bowing and walking out of the room.
Leo knew being sick sucked, but he would probably never feel how Don felt. Being sick almost every year probably sucks.
Raphael happened to be walking by when Leo came out of the room. "Yo, Leo how's Don doin, huh?"
Donnie would have cringed at Raph's bad grammar
"He's doing fine Raph. Just little fever, that's all," he said, hoping his lie was convincing enough.
Raph frowned upon sensing the lie, but he didn't question it. "Well, uh, I hope he gets betta!"
Leo couldn't help but sigh. "I hope he gets better to," he said.
He knew Don would pull through - he always did - but in the back of Leo's mind he wondered if Donnie would make it this year. He was never this sick, and that worried the young ninja to a great extent.
Leo heard Don coughing from the other room and instantly ran to Donnie as Don struggled to take a breath. Almost every time Donnie broke into a coughing fit he sounded like he was choking when he breathed. But Don would pull through. He always did.
Or at least Leo hoped.
Okay, this will probably end up as a two shot. This will be updated!
