Who Travels Across the United States?
The Winchesters first heard about the stranger in confused witness accounts of uncanny creatures and weird lights in the sky, but when they arrived-other than a strange echoing noise like a herd of trumpeting elephants-there was nothing to be found.
Whispers of cloven-hooved demons prowling around a church led merely to the discovery of an odd pile of stone in a graveyard. Sadly, there were only a few survivors, but their tales of an eccentric savior in a trenchcoat made Dean's heart pound in a mix of anxiety and hope.
A similar report encouraged them to travel across seven states in a cramped Pontiac and they've never missed the Impala more. Dean was just in time to watch the man perform some kind of banishment ritual with what looked like an oversized laser pointer. If his stomach dropped at the realization it wasn't Castiel, then he wasn't admitting it to anyone.
He watched the man enter a large blue box; only Sam's hand on his shoulder stopping him from following. He blinked in disbelief as it disappeared before his eyes.
He had no idea what a 'police box' was, but he somehow doubted the guy was a cop.
