"Is everything set and ready, Rosella?" Queen Valanice asked her fair and beautiful daughter as the dinner table was being prepared for a new national Daventry holiday.

"Almost, mother," said a smiling Princess Rosella. "I just hope that Connor doesn't mind being so glorified by the royal family this day. He was always a modest young man."

"I'm certain that Connor won't mind, Rosella," said her father, King Graham. "He willingly did his duty to save Daventry from Lucreto and his unholy magic, and he did it out of love for his country and his people. We should all be thankful that the heavenly ones sent him to save us from being stone statues forever."

The guests were coming in from all over Daventry; they included not only royal and regal guests, but also dignitaries from other countries, as well as many lowly citizens of the land. Alexander and Cassima were visiting from the Land of the Green Isles. They originally didn't understand what had happened to them and the surrounding lands, but after being filled in, they were ready to pay their respects to the Champion Eternal. Edgar was there, too.

"Thank you, honored guests," Valanice greeted everyone, no matter how high or lowly they were, "Welcome to Castle Daventry, and to the feast in honor of Connor, the One who saved Daventry from the evils of Lucreto, the Sinner." The guests, in turn, greeted her courteously, and they started to take their seats at the dining room table.

Graham waited until everyone had arrived and was seated, and then, the main course was brought out. It was a large, golden brown turkey with a magical spell on it, which would make it provide enough meat for all the guests at the party. Other dishes were brought out, too, such as stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, a variety of vegetables, and breadsticks. Before they were to begin eating, though, Graham and Valanice led them all in a prayer of thanksgiving.

"Heavenly Father, we thank you for this bountiful feast that sits before us, and for the peace and prosperity of our beloved World and Kingdom of Daventry. But on this day, we have something to be even more thankful for. We thank you very much for the angelic Archons in the Realm of the Sun, and their declaration of our hero, Connor, Champion of Champions, as the Chosen One destined to save the whole world from the evils of Lucreto the Sinner. And we thank you for Connor himself, for him succeeding in his quest to save Daventry, and for making our countries free to live again in peace and happiness. Without you, and without him, we would all still be statues scattered about the lands, and our realm would still be as dark as Hades itself. May we all continue to take joy in life, so that his deeds and actions are not in vain, and may as many of us as possible strive to embrace the goodness and righteousness that is innate within him. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen."

They all said Amen together, and as one, they made the Sign of the Cross. And with that, they began to dig in to their thanksgiving feast that sat before them, everyone blessing Connor, enjoying each other's company, and talking about how they would each go about repaying their mighty Deliverer.
