There was smoke every where and her eyes burned intensely as she tried to fight her way through the thick black fog. The toxin filled her lungs as she gasped for air. She didn t know where she was or where she was going she just knew she had to get out. Suddenly she heard voices in the background calling her name. "Cassandra! Cassandra! Help us!"
It only took her a few seconds for her to decipher the voices they were her grandparents . "Granny! Pa! Where are you?"
Tears began to form as she rushed to the calls but every time she seemed to grow closer to them they seemed farther away. She ran as if her life depended on it because she didn t want to lose them at least not again. If only she could find them if only she could stop such a tragedy from happening everything would be ok and go back to normal. All of a sudden she stepped in a large peculiar puddle out of no where and in a quick glance she was horrified. The bottoms of her pants were covered in a red liquid she knew had to have been blood. She screamed in terror to only be awakened by a rough shaking motion to her body.
Her eyes open quickly to find a tall unfamiliar man standing before her. In fear she grabbed her lamp and scurried to the other side of the bed. "Who are you?" She yelled in anxiety.
"Lestat de Lioncourt." He replied as he gazed into her eyes, "In other words your father."
" What the hell are you doing in here and at this time?" Her grasp on the lamp only grew tighter.
He smirked, "I can already tell you re just like her. She had a feisty personality as well, but I could never figure her out that is what most interested me about her. No my dear Cassandra, drop the lamp, we re moving."
" What? "she looked at the clock, it was two in the morning, "Are you mad? "
He looked harder into her eyes, "Do as I say daughter." She hesitated but reluctantly let go of the lamp, something had come over her...but she didn t know what .
