It had been 3 weeks since the young prince Blaze, died in the
floating fortress of lost souls, which exploded before he could escape or
be rescued.
October 14, Blaze's birthday.
"We are here today to say goodbye to." "It's all my fault!" Rina screamed, "I could've saved him." "Rina it's okay," Aqua whispered trying to calm her hysterical friend down, "There was nothing any of us could've done." A loud sound burst out from beside them, which quickly drew their attention. "My little boy!" Amelia cried, clutching Zelgadiss' beige cloak. "Shh, Amelia it's okay." Zelgadiss whispered, placing his hand on her shoulder lovingly. Zel looked to the front after calming his wife down, his tears threatening to spill over. Slowly, with every passing moment of silence the pain became more intense. Aqua and Rina had fallen silence after hearing Amelia's mourning. The girls looked at Zelgadiss closely as a tear streaked his blue face. "Dad?" Aqua whispered her eyes beginning to shake. "I'm going to take your mother." Just as he spoke the doors at the far end of the church burst open in a flash of brilliant white lights, "What the." After the dust and smoke had cleared a shadow immerged. "Rezo!" The figure just smiled and stepped forward towards the mourning family. Slowly and without hesitation the red priest opened his deeply colored eyes. "You poor creatures," He laughed, "You're mourning something you haven't even lost." "What!?" Zel gasped, "What do you mean?" "Just look." He whispered moving his cape with a mear gesture. Cradled in his arms was the young prince, clothed only in a flowing cape of pure red. His aqua colored hair standing out against Rezo's red robes. His white wings dangling from Rezo's arms and his eyes closed lightly in a state of slumber. "BLAZE!" Zelgadiss stammered as they all rose from their seats. Zelgadiss ran forward, towards his enemy and his beloved son. He stopped only inches away. Rezo smiled kindly as if he were about to repay a debt and looked down at the sleeping boy. "Blaze, wake up. There's someone here who wants to see you." He whispered in a soothing voice. Blaze stirred gently, moving only a little. Then he opened his blue eyes and glanced around the room. He stopped when he saw his father. "Daddy?" He asked weakly, stretching his arm out, "What's wrong?" Tears had began to form in the chimera's eyes, but he smiled and held them back. "Nothing now." He whispered as Rezo placed Blaze in his arms, his wings clumsily hitting the floor. Blaze yawned, pulling his wings in, "I'm sorry.I'm just so tired." Zelgadiss nodded happily and began to walk out of the building. Behind him the once smiling Rezo faded back into darkness. Rina, in pure joy ran forward, but was stopped by Aqua. "Aqua." "Rina, let them go." "But." She stopped when Aqua gave her a hard glare and nodded.
"Dad, where are we going?" Blaze asked sweetly as Zel carried him deeper in to the woods, outside of the church. He did not reply. "Dad." "Hush now, Blaze. You should relax." "But." "Shhh." He nodded drowsily and leaned on his fathers chest as sleep over took his body.
