Chapter 1: Interducing Chi
Karl stared at the girl from on top of the building in the park. Who the hell was she? just walking in like she was part of them? How dare she talk to Climber like they were best friends and she belonged here! He'd been watching her for some time now.. It didn't make sense why she was even here. Clarice walked up to Climber and the girl and smiled. They talked, Karl was too high up so he couldn't hear them. Arma stood on his shoulder. This didn't make sense and it was pissing him off. He jumped down and walked towards the group..
"Are you feleing comfortable yet, Chi?" Climber asked. Chi looked around, then nodded.
"It's.. better than anywhere I've gone." Chi said. Clarice patted Chi's shoulder.
"It's okay, your done being in that life~" She smiled. She suddenly looked towards Karl, a glare set in her eyes. "Watch out for him.." She muttered under her breath. Karl paid no attention to Climber and Clarice and glared at Chi.
"Who are you?" He asked, playing off a fake smile. "We never get visitors, especially human visitors~" He chimed fakely.
"Oh... um.." Chi looked up at Climber, as if for answers, but instead Clarice answered.
"She's not human."
Climber took over from there. "We found someone like you, Karl." Climber said quickly. Karl blinked.
"Eh?"
They all sat down at a nearby bench, except Chi, who decided to sit on the ground instead, same as Clarice. "Lately we've been getting news that the Law of Talos has been extending to other place's, Chi's like you.. kinda.. ish.." Climber explained awkwardly...
"I think I'm a statue.." Chi said quietly, she had a quiet, shy voice. "Um..." She showed Karl her wrist, which was shattered in one part. "It won't come off, or anything, and I can still move it without having to worry." Chi explained quietly. Karl nodded, understanding.
"I see, but I don't quite understand. Law of Talos should only affect those in this park." He said, matter-of-factly. Chi shrugged.
"I personally thought I was human till I rammed my wrist into a building... accidently." Chi said, the word 'accidently' came out slow and unsure. She looked down, trembling slightly. It wasn't like someone who wasn't human to tremble.. Karl gave her a unsure look. If it wasn't for her shattered wrist he'd think she was human. She bit her lip, which was cracked and bleeding slightly, which was also weird.
"And..." She started to say. "what's really weird is that.. I eat and sleep and stuff... but yet, I'm not human.." She explained. Karl laughed.
"That makes no sense."
Climber nodded. "That's what Mr. Derippe said."
Karl looked towards Chi...
"Wait... So let me get something straight... she'll be staying here now?"
