A/N: Hello, everyone! I just finished watching "Star Trek" (the new one) with my parents and this popped into my head. Oh, by the way, I have seen very few episodes of the original Star Trek, so I kind of made up Reid's analysis of the movie… ah, well. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own anything recognizable that may or may not be mentioned, including, but not limited to: Criminal Minds, the characters, or Star Trek. I do, however, have a good handle on those bad puns…

"I've gotta admit, Reid, this is actually a pretty good movie." Morgan said, reentering Reid's living room with a bowl of popcorn.

"I thought you might like it. It's a far cry from the original series, but it kept most of the good elements and the characters were all done pretty well, considering…" Reid began to explain.

"Spence, you don't have to explain any more, he likes it." JJ cut him off, not unkindly, recognizing the beginnings of a sci-fi rant.

Reid snatched a handful of popcorn from the bowl Morgan held and settled back in his place between JJ and Prentiss on the couch, blushing slightly. Morgan reclaimed the easy chair he had been sitting in and got comfortable once more.

Somehow, Reid had managed to convince most of the team to come over to watch the new "Star Trek" movie and they weren't regretting the decision. It had been an enjoyable afternoon so far and they were all eager to get back to the movie after Morgan's snack-run.

As the movie started up again, they watched as three characters were launched into space and began falling towards their destination. "Wow. Now that's free-falling." Prentiss commented.

The agents fell back into silence for a moment before Reid broke the silence by chuckling quietly. "What?" Prentiss asked, turning to look at him.

"Oh, it's just what you said." Reid told her, still smiling.

When no one looked enlightened, Reid explained further. "I mean, in space, you're not technically weightless; you, along with everything else, are actually in a constant state of free-fall, making you seem weightless. So, it's kind a pun…" Reid broke off, laughing a little.

JJ, Morgan, and Prentiss all stared at him for a moment, as he grinned and waited for them to get the joke. However, no light bulb moments came for his teammates as they just went back to watching the movie. The smile dropped off Reid's face as he leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms over his chest. "Well, I thought it was funny…" He muttered quietly, turning his attention back to the movie.

A/N: Ha, this actually happened… I was in Reid's place. I'm a dork. But I'm okay with that. Anyway, I'm sorry it's short, but I have something a little larger in the works, I promise. Extra points if you actually found the joke funny! Review if you would like, it would make me happy…
