This is a fifty-word story about Naruto and Sakura that takes place during Team Kakashi's second attempt to retrieve Sasuke. Naruto and Sakura have a conversation by the campfire. Slight fluff ahead.
Naruto and Sakura belong to Masashi Kishimoto.
"Sakura-chan?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think we'll get him back this time?"
"I hope so, Naruto."
Silence.
"Sakura-chan?"
"Yes?"
"Do you still... love him?"
A pause.
"No, Naruto. But I am grateful to him."
"Why is that?"
"If he hadn't left, I would never have seen how wonderful you are, Naruto."
I know, extremely short, but then, I probably wrote this in less than five minutes, not sure, didn't check. Anyways, sorry for such a short story. Please leave a review if you can.
On a side note, the word count is technically fifty-two for the actual story, but that's only because of the name suffix Naruto uses for Sakura. Just count it as one word, okay?
