Impish, pale arms snaked their way around the red head's neck, "Hey," Luna whispered, only inches away from Ginny's ear. The Weasley's scent was perfection, though, something was tainting it. Luna knew what it was. Harry Potter had infected the beautiful smell that Luna oftentimes longed for.
Ginny's body stiffened at the sudden feeling of the other girl's arms. Their school days were long over so why did she insist on meeting like this. "Hey…Luna." Pursing her lips, Ginny was silent and filled with insecurity as to what to say. What could she say?
"I heard you're getting married." The blond was never one to scoot around the issue at hand. Almost mournfully, she nuzzled her head closely to the nape of Ginny's neck.
Almost defensively, the sitting girl pulled away from Luna with a sudden jerk. She couldn't stand to think of those soft lips or of the shame that accompanied such thoughts. Ginny had betrayed Luna, but Luna chose to never bring that up. Rather, she acted surprised at the sudden pull. Stepping away, Luna's hand's traced Ginny's already nervous body before returning her arms to her side.
"Is it Harry Potter?" The question was spoiled with a certain sadness that no one else possessed when she was asked. Everyone seemed overtly joyful at the marriage; cheering them on as the perfect couple.
"You know it is." The words escaped her lips with an almost cruel tone surrounding them. Ginny didn't intend to sound so harsh.
The nymph's smile broke. Her eyes shifted to look at Ginny's flaming hair. "I don't understand why you left me for…"
It was rare for Luna to talk so seriously about anything but Ginny took no time to cut her off. "It was weird. That's why." Her body spun around to greet Luna; to stare at her through narrowed eyes. "I got married. It's what…we're supposed to do."
For a second, Luna opened her mouth, as if she was going to speak. But, she stopped herself and let her face return to it's typical smile. "I've heard that Crumple-Horned Snorlacks mate with other females."
Without another word, the Loony Lovegood clicked her heels and left with a little 'pop'.
